Hey guys; as most of you probably know, I care deeply about my boyfriend, but a few days ago we had to break up for various logical reasons. I don’t even know how he’s taking it, we haven’t talked recently, but I sure know I’m not doing so great. I’m our County Fair’s Queen, so I want to kind of pick up the pieces fast to represent well at fair, but every night it all just comes crashing down. Please, please pray for me to find peace and joy in God again. St. Anne seems to be my special intercessor for this. God bless you guys!

My wife’s name is Cecilia, so I’ll pray to the Saint for you to find happiness and peace of mind.
 
Prayer to Sts. Nazarius and Celsus

Saint Nazarius and Saint Celsus, not very much is known of your lives, other than you were both martyred for the faith by Emperor Nero. St. Ambrose discovered your relics and a vital of your blood. Many miracles were wrought by appeal to both of you. One of the legends surrounding the two of you was that St. Nazarius’ mother was Saint Perpetua, that beautiful and steadfast saint who was herself martyred years before. It was said Saint Celsus was a companion of Nazarius.
Having both of you as an early example of courage, loyalty, and perseverance to the end, please pray that we may likewise obtain those virtues. Intercede and plead for us to God, that He may have mercy on our weaknesses, and give us an abundance of grace because of them. May we be willing to even shed our blood for the Faith if Christ asks it of us. I also ask you to hear and succor the petitions laid before you this day.
Pray for us, Saints Nazarius and Celsus!

Prayer for After a Breakup

Dear Lord, you know how my heart is breaking. I never thought this day would come. Please let me know how valuable and precious I am to you. I am feeling low and depressed. I am feeling empty. God please fill me up with your love.

God, give me the courage to know that you have the best for me. Help me to not grovel and go running after him. Help me to respect myself. Help me through this lonely time. I pray I don’t go out and try to fill this void with another guy – I ask that you would fill me instead.

Lord, I ask that today you would give me a new sense of purpose, power and direction. Keep your hand upon my life. Continue to guide me. Give me the strength to hold my head up. Give me a fresh love for myself. Show me how wonderfully you created me.

I feel angry towards my boyfriend. He has hurt me deeply. I can’t forgive him – but God I allow You to forgive him through me. Help me to know that if he is your best for me – that in the end we will be back together. Help me to trust that if it doesn’t work out you have someone so much better for me. Lord, help me to smile again.

I ask all of this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular Hawkmaid, and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. It’s OK to feel brokenness. I hope you don’t think that you have to plow through these feelings on your own strength. It’s understandable that you would feel sorrow or other feelings after a break-up. I think that if we’re honest with ourselves, it’s when we’re feeling lowest that we fully understand how much we need the Lord.

I’m praying for you. May the Lord heal your broken heart.
