I thank all of you who have prayed so faithfully for my Brother. More good news. He has been released by his heart surgeon & today he is making another trip back to the surgeon that removed part of his colon. He has been transferred back to the VA hospital to a nursing home/rehab center…but the ambulances are keeping the highways hot, taking him back & forth to KU. Med center where he spent 2& 1/2 month tp consult with his surgeons. I cannot emphasize enough how GREAT his care has been. This country does treat their ex-soldiers well. If all goes really good. We’re looking for him to be transferred to an assisted living place in our city sometime before Autumn. “Thanks be to God, great things He hath done”.

Dear CradleCath thankyou so much for the update.How wonderful Frank is recovering well.I continue to pray that he gets completely well enough to leave and live in the assisted living you describe.God bless you for your faith and loyalty and love to your brother

Thank you, so much, tbcrawford & those who’ve been praying so consistently for me & my brother. This past week has been rather difficult…but I know it will get better. Fri. & Sat., we (my husband & son…myself & Martha) moved his furniture & possessions out of his apt. as he won’t be able to live there again. His apt. was on the second floor & one had to walk up 3 half-flights of stairs. So we packed up his clothes, his books (4 large boxes full) & his family pictures…that was hard. I stripped the apt. down & Martha & I scrubbed every cabinet & floor, cleaned the fridge, the oven, etc.

Yesterday, I drove down to see him & take a few small framed pictures to his nursing home/rehab center room at the VA. hospital. It seems as if his progress has sort of stopped for a while. His colon surgery & the removal of part of his pelvic bone prevents him from putting any weight on the lower part of his body & it will be about another month before he can stand. They arrange his sheets into a “sling” & put him into a wheel chair that way. He looks SO weak, what am I saying, he **IS **so week. My biggest hope is that he’ll be able to come back to his city, close to his family & find an assisted living apt. complex. I pray that this will happen. Please dear CAF friends continue to join me in my prayers, for as it is now…his quality of life is not good. It would be hard if he went through all of the surgeries & the pain to spend the rest of his life as he is now.

Dear Jesus, Healer of the Sick, I turn to you in this time of illness. Alleviate my worry and sorrow with Your gentle love and grant my Brother & myself the grace and strength to accept this burden. I place my worries in Your hands. I place Frank in Your care and humbly ask that You restore Your servant to health again. Above all, grant me the grace to acknowledge Your holy will and know that You love me and my Brother & are with us in this, our most difficult time.

and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and
invokes you universally, as the patron of
hopeless cases, of things almost despaired
of. Pray for my Brother, he is so helpless and alone.

Prayer for a Creative Miracle
God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from the darkness, I call upon you now to send forth your miracle-working power into every aspect of FRANK’s being. In the same way that you spoke unto the dust of the ground when you created humankind in your own image, I ask you to send forth your healing power into his body. Send forth your word and command every cell, electrical and chemical impulse, tissue, joint, ligament, organ, gland, muscle, bone and every molecule in his body to come under complete and perfect health, strength, alignment, balance and harmony.

It is through you that FRANK lives and moves and has his being. With every breath he takes, he lives under your life-giving grace. I ask you to touch FRANK now with the same miracle-working power that you used when you fashioned him inside his mother’s womb. As surely as you have created him in your image and likeness, you can also recreate him now and restore him to health.

Please fill FRANK with your healing power. Cast out all that should not be inside of him. I ask you to mend all that is broken, root out every sickness and disease, open all blocked arteries and veins, restore his internal organs, rebuild his damaged tissues, remove all inflammation and cleanse him of all infections, viruses and destructive forms of bacteria.

Let the warmth of your healing love flood FRANK’s entire being, so that his body will function the way it was created to be, whole and complete, renewed in your perfect health. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
