Please pray for my female cat. She hasn`t been eating and I took her to the vet yesterday. She is dehydrated and lost a lot of weight. Over $700 later the vet said one of her liver tests came back abnormal and they want me to bring her in for more tests. I have her at home now. She is only 2 1/2. She is eating better so that is good.

The vet wants me to bring her back tonight or tomorrow. I cant miss anymore work so couldnt bring her until Tuesday unless she stays overnight starting tonight but that will be extremely expensive and I can`t afford it.

I am torn about what to do because I want to take good care of her but can`t afford another $700 in bills. (The cost of overnight hospitalization is very expensive in my area.)

I think she is happier at home. She ate this morning so that is good. I am hoping she will continue to get better on her own. I can`t miss work tomorrow but am going to try to find a cheaper vet where I could take her Tuesday.

Please keep her in your prayers. I have a boy cat as well but he is very healthy.

Sincerely,

Maria1212

Your beautiful cat and you will be in my prayers. Stay strong. I know how this feels.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen.

A prayer to St Francis for your cat. Take care and keep your poor cat comfortable…

I’m praying for your cat and for you. There is a painting called Madonna della Gatta - Our Lady of the Cat. It’s based on a legend of how a cat helped warm the infant Jesus in the manger. You can find the painting and the story here. I’ll ask the Madonna’s protection for your feline friends.

I completely understand your predicament. I have two cats and when they get sick the vet bills are ridiculous.

Liver problems are extremely serious. Can’t you ask a friend to take the cat back to vet for you so that you don’t have to take time off work? Your cat is definitely more comfortable at home. I have found that there is no one at the vet at night to take care of the cat and the only reason to leave them there is if they have to be hooked up to an IV.

My sister’s cat underwent many tests too and $900 later they still could find nothing wrong with her and eventually she got better. But liver problems are another issue altogether.

I am definitely keeping you and your cat in my prayers. Please come back and let us know how she is doing.

God bless.

Prayers that your cat will get better soon and that things will work out for you and your cat in this difficult situation.

St Francis, please assist,
that Maria may do the right thing for Kitty, and that her financial needs will be met to do so.

I’m praying for you and your cat

May the Lord be with you in your anxiety and needs.
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen

Thank you to everyone for all of your prayers. I just got back from another trip to the vet. They gave my cat fluids and an appetite stimulant. She is still dehydrated but they are hoping this will help get better. she started eating again yesterday but isn`t drinking much. But I am hopeful this will help her get all better.

Vet care is so expensive. I have already spent way more than I can afford. But I hope she will get healthy. She isn`t even three yet and had no problems up until now.

Please keep praying for the both of us. This is so stressful, especially in combination with everything else going on in my life. My two cats bring me so much joy–I need them to stay healthy.

Thank you again for all of your prayers.

Sincerely,

Maria1212

Maria,
Our vet taught us how to put fluids under our cats skin with an IV fluid because we could not afford hospitalization either. It cost us $30 instead of hundreds. Something you may want to ask about.

Praying for your kitty.

Maria,

I’m still praying for your situation with your cat to improve. I’ll pray tonight and include you in my daily prayers in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Peace!

Lord, Please take care of this precious creature of Your creation

Amen.

Praying that your precious cat will get better by Our Lord’s healing hands.
I have three cats so I know how you are feeling. They mean the world to me ,too.

Lord God, please aid this woman in her need, and heal her feline companion. Our pets are some of the greatest gifts You have bestowed upon us, Lord God, and are tremendously important to us. Please console this woman, and, if You so will it, Lord, heal this pet. Amen.

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us.

Thank you for all of your prayers. My cat is much better today! I think the fluids and the medicine the vet gave her really perked her up. I hope she stays this way once the medicine wears off. She seems much like her normal self. She is still not eating as much as usual but at least she is eating.

I will keep everyone posted. Thank you again for all of your prayers! And thank you for the recommendation on asking the vet how to do the IV at home. If she doesn`t get better, I will ask about that.

Sincerely,

Maria1212
