Please pray for my cousin. He’s staying with us right now and let’s just say he brought some ‘buddies’ with him.

He does not believe in god. He believes all religions are corrupt. He is a drug addict.

I’ve been praying for him hardcore since he ‘moved in’. He’ll be staying two more weeks and my hope is that somehow, someway, the Holy Spirit will move him in a big way before he leaves and surrounds himself with his ‘friends’ (his plans are to go out and party HARD as soon as he leaves, he’s quite vocal and proud of this. Because he’s with us he hasn’t been able to drug himself up as much as he normally would - he’s not allowed to smoke weed in the house or use heavier drugs so he’s been really miserable and sneaking smokes when he goes for walks which he does every thirty - forty minutes. Our house REEKS from it, as does he).

Oh! And a little prayer for some spiritual cleansing would be appreciated. I have a feeling some of his ‘buddies’ will try and stick around after he leaves. I’m sorry if that sounds really crazy but when evil spirits are in your midst you KNOW and I’m just praying they won’t stick around when he leaves (so far they seem localized in the space he stays in - yay for prayer!).

I’m not sure if there’s a way to remove them from him in his current state since he has basically invited them into his life but I’ve been praying for that too.

He is not a member of this site nor would he ever look at a site like this so I’m hoping it’s okay to petition for prayers.

His name is Raymond.

Thank you!

Nicky, we have our monthly Mass of Anointing this morning,
so I’ll pray for your cousin during this Mass.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray:
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Lord vanquish all evil influences

Dearest Lord,

I ask the protection of Your love and of Your precious Blood, and of the power and goodness of the Holy Spirit to protect and surround and bless me and every member of my family or our contacts.

Please come against all evil and all curses against me and my family and loved ones and our contacts, from those who have resentment or ill-will or who have dabbled in the occult and are still infested by hidden evil spirits, from ancestors or sins, or from anyone living and dead, or from any evil spirit.
Forgive and heal them.

Please and heal and forgive if any of our thoughts, words, or deed or lack of prayer or action cause any lack of blessing or any curse against any other person please remove it, and give them and all other people blessing.

I praise and honour and worship You who redeemed us from sin and saved us from all evil. I praise and bless and worship you with my whole being and life and in the lives of my family and our contacts.

Prayers for your cousin Raymond. I ask that Our Blessed Mother cover him with her holy mantle and keep him safe from his “friends”. I also ask the Holy Virgin to cover your home with her mantle so that no “friends” remain there after he leaves.

God bless

Dear St. Monica, you who prayed your errant son to sainthood, please intercede on behalf of this young person.

Father in Jesus’ name, we ask pray for all who suffer with addiction, and for their families.
Father, in Jesus’ name, please help all those who are struggling with addiction.
Father forgive and heal them.
Please urge them to avoid occasions of sin, each time temptation arises.
Please lead them to activities that honour You and benefit others and their own well-being.
Please give them strength to resist to temptations against gospel living.
Please surround their lives with Your light and love.

In particular, Father, we pray for Nicky’s cousin

Thank You, Father

I pray for you, that you muster the stones to swiftly maneuver a size 12 foot-filled shoe over his backside. Any adult has the right to self destruct. No kid does, and nobody of any age has the right to do so on your dime and in your house!

🙂 He’s in the process of finishing school. He was kicked out of the place where he was staying. He’s allowed to stay until school is done and then he knows he has to leave. In the meantime I’m determined to pray my socks off for him and have been talking to him about the so called ‘good life’ he’s living. So far he hasn’t been listening but he hasn’t been hostile either (probably because he’s under my roof and knows he has no where else to go).

He’s turning 30 soon, and while he may have the right to self destruct he is family and we have the right to try and stop him. 🙂

Just thought I’d post a quick update. He’s leaving tomorrow.

For the past week he hasn’t had any money to buy drugs and while he swears he’s not in withdrawl he has been completely miserable. I’ve been steadily praying for him every night.

I’m not sure what’s going to happen but he has been making some quite nasty remarks about me - which is curious because I’ve never been anything but kind and loving to him. It makes me think maybe these prayers are having some kind of effect. 🙂

Thank you everyone for your prayers.

Dear Friend,

I pray with my whole heart that god may help with this matter. We are all god’s children, and it is unfair that you have to suffer the sins of another soul’s actions. But obviously, it PAINS you to see your cousin this way, and to me, that is suffering.

I pray that your cousin Raymond realizes his hurtful actions towards his family, the structure that raised him, that supported him, that loved him, and still loves him, regardless of his faults. Yet, unconditional love is HARD, when a person pushes the boundaries. Yet, our FATHER, has that unconditional love. And it is with that unconditional love that your cousin Raymond will be filled with the holy spirit, will see the light eventually… maybe not tomorrow, maybe not this week, BUT SOON MY FRIEND!!!

I pray you look after him, I pray that once he does leave your home tomorrow, you do not just give up on him. (I do not mean, you stop praying, because I am sure you will continue to pray), But I mean, be there still. Call him, even if he does not return your calls. Leave him voice mails. Do not shove it down his throat though, just remind him how much you love and care for him. Ask him how he is doing, do not mention the drug abuse, just see how he is. Check up on him. Let him know you CARE.

Love= Caring in action…

even if he refuses to talk once he leaves, even if he says horrible things to you… YOU, are his family. Show him that love that god will surely show him.

“Hey Raymond, just calling to see how you are, hope everything is going well with you. Miss you. Love you. Talk to you soon”

Things like that…

I pray for you, that you have the strength to guide your cousin!!

I pray to the Blessed Virigin Mary, the MOTHER of god, to pray for your cousin and for you. To give you the ability to deal with this situation, and to give your cousin raymond the ability to open up his heart for the love of god.

I pray to all the saints and angels in heave to PRAY FOR your cousin Raymond and to protect him and cast away his evil demons. I pray that they interceed and ask the lord to protect him, to guide him, to shelter him, and to LOVE HIM. I pray that the holy spirit reigns down on him and fills him with the love he so desperately needs.

I pray for you my friend. I pray for your cousin Raymond. May god make a wonderful person out of a lost soul at this current moment in his life

BELIEVE.

It will happen 🙂

You’ve got that right Nicole. It is our Christian belief that ‘LOVE’ will often turn a person’s heart. But to some, their ‘anger’ is so deep that they simply don’t ***trust ***‘LOVE’. Remember your difficulty with trusting other Christians a while ago? But in the end, ‘LOVE’ usually wins out. Don’t stop loving him. And from experience I know how much drugs -(and the withdrawals from them)- can play havoc with our emotions. I will pray for you and your cousin.

Praying for your intention.
I’d just like to say that your signature is exactly the philosophy I’ve been employing when dealing with Ray. 🙂 When I read it I just smiled because he’s been making a few family members angry with his nasty little remarks about me but I’ve been reminding them that he’s a ‘wounded’ member of the family and we need to be careful how we deal with him.

I can handle hurtful words, I’m not so sure he can.

Thank you.
