Hello Prayer Warriors!

I do not write often (mostly read and offer silent prayers) but a year ago, the prayer warriors on this site helped to pull my dad through some difficult heart issues (he had heart, lung and kidney issues in 2007…one right after the other, resulting in a three month hospital stay). I once again come to you for prayers on my dad’s behalf. He appears to be having gallbladder issues and in much pain.

His heart issues remain stable and he was even working toward getting back to work (he is only 77 years young, after all). Please pray that the current issues are indeed gallbladder related and that the doctors have the courage and knowledge to treat it, returning him to the same level of care he was at prior to this illness.

Thank you and may God bless each and every one of you!

Judy

I will include your Dad, yourself and your family in my rosary tonight.

dujs I join you in prayer that God will work through the doctors to find a lasting solution to your dad’s problems.
I remain praying for you.

Dear Judy…will be keeping your Dad’s health in prayer hoping it will prove nothing serious and that his pain will be relieved. May The Lord grant to his doctors courage and the knowledge to treat what is wrong…may The Lord support you and your family and all concerned about your Dad at this time of worry and stress…Barb

Lord, we offer you thanks and praise for all that you have granted Judy’s father in the past, and for all that you have yet to grant. Thanks be to you!
Continue to pour out your blessings upon him now, as his health is at risk once more. Grant him strength Lord, that he may endure and overcome this trial. Guide the doctors that will care for him Lord, that they may be thorough in their diagnosis and treatment of his health. Comfort his family as they watch over him Lord, that they may put their worries into your most capable hands with faith and trust in You, and Your most Divine Will.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Lord bring health and blessings to this child of yours.:gopray2:

When my husbands’ grandma was about 86, she underwent open heart surgery and her gallbladder had to be removed at the same time. The first 48hrs looked grim, but by the Lords’ grace she came out of it just fine and lived many healthy and happy years after that.

**Omnipotent and eternal God,
the everlasting Salvation of those who believe,
hear us on behalf of Thy sick servant,
for whom we beg the aid of Thy pitying mercy,
that, with his bodily health restored,
he may give thanks to Thee in Thy church.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen. **

Praying for your intentions…

Dear Jesus, afflictions were healed at Your command and Your touch. Look with mercy upon dujs’s father, that his body be healed of imperfections in his old age. Give him the strength to endure all his sufferings, and restore him to health, as You have done for so many for all of time. Amen. :signofcross:

Praying for a total complete healing of your father, Through Jesus Christ Our Lord, The Holy Spirit, The Blessed Mother, and all the Saints and Angels.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hello all,

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your prayers! Dad is doing well. His hospitalization was indeed due to gallbladder disease with no real heart issues! Though they have not removed his gallbladder, it is doing better with surgery possible at a later date.

Again, thank you everyone! The forum helps get me through when things get rough with dad’s health. Though I know God is always with me, your prayers keep reminding me always!

Many blessings to all,

Judy

Great news your Dad is doing well. Praying for his continued recovery and good health.

Dear Judy -

I will advise you to do something my “mush” mind forgot when my elderly Mom was dying - Use your sacramentals ! And in this case, and anyone who’s ailing - use your scapulars. If you have a Green Scapular, put it on your Dad or hanging from his bed saying the prayer on it, which I will say for him now.

"Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death."

You don’t have to be at the hour of death for this prayer / scapular to help.
God bless you, your Dad and family members going through this.
