My dad is a Vietnam Veteran and got prostate cancer from agent orange. Years ago, about 10 years ago, they began the treatment for the cancer by radiation. He was cured so they said. Since then he had problems urinating and bloody urine and clots. Well in the last two weeks, it has been the worse. He went into the hospital two weeks ago and to stop the hematuria, they cauterized inside his bladder to stop the bleeding. They found lots of clots too. They sent him home and last week, he was admitted again for the same problem but worse. He is still in the hospital. Now he has diabetes, gout in one knee and swollen knee in the other. They did surgery in his heart to put an Inferior Vena Cava filter to stop blood clots from going into his heart because two have been found in his leg. They found it by ultrasound. They did another bladder surgery to stop the bleeding and you would not believe the amount of blood clots they took out. This is called radiation cystitis. Afterwards his urine became clear, but yesterday, he started bleeding again. He wants to come home and is depressed. I found hyperbaric oxygen therapy helps and I want him to start this soon. He has to get discharged first. Please pray for his healing. He is 83 years old and has always been active. We just want him to get better and go home. :gopray2:

As he has made it to 83 after all he has been through he must have God’s favor. I will pray for him and for you, also.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection,
implored your help, or sought your intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence,
I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen.

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to his assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

PRAYER FOR ANY NECESSITY.

Show us, we beseech Thee, O Lord,
in Thy clemency,
Thine unspeakable mercy,
that Thou mayest both cleanse us from all our sins,
and deliver us from the punishments which they have deserved.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son,
Who livest and reignest
world without end.

Amen.

Prayer to St. Luke:

Most charming and saintly Physician, you were animated by the heavenly Spirit of love. In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, you also showed His divinity and His genuine compassion for all human beings. Inspire our physicians with your professionalism and with the divine compassion for their patients. Enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many in our day.

Amen.

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal nana3’s dad. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into nana3’s dad’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer to St. Anthony for Those With Cancer

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for nana3’s dad, who is suffering from cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to him. Comfort him during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering. May God give him the fullness of life here on earth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

St. Thérèse of Liseux Prayer From “Story of A Soul”

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Amen. †

Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind;
Calm my heart;
Still my Spirit;
Relax my being, that, I may
always glorify you in everything
I write, speak and do.

Amen. †

Jesus, Help Me

In every need let me come to Thee with humble trust, saying,
Jesus, help me!

In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations,
Jesus, help me!

In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials,
Jesus, help me!

In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows,
Jesus, help me!

When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts,
Jesus, help me!

When others fail me, and Thy grace alone can assist me,
Jesus, help me!

When I throw myself on Thy tender love as Father and Savior,
Jesus, help me!

When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me,
Jesus, help me!

When sickness and loneliness overcome me,
Jesus, help me!

Always, in weakness, falls and shortcomings of every kind,
Jesus, help me and never forsake me.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen. †

Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love.
Sweet Heart of my Jesus, grant that I may always love You more.
Heart of Jesus, burning with love for us, set our hearts on fire with love of You.
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like Your Heart.

Amen. †

Prayers said. All will be well. Do not fear, the Lord is protecting you.
Do not be lonely, your guardian angel is beside you.
Be comforted, Mother will watch over you, and the
Holy Spirit will guide you.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen. †

*O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, **who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity. **O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother. *
  • O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you *from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. O show us that you are our Mother.
  • O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. *Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. Amen

Thank you all for your prayers. My dad has fought this issue long enough. He has made the decision to remove his bladder. The surgery is today at 3:30 pm Eastern time. Please pray that he doesn’t die unless that’s God’s will. He is high risk. He had lymph edema and blood clots in both legs. Because he is high risk the doctors told us he could die. I went to visit him today and he was praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet. May Our merciful Lord heal him and be the hands of the surgeon. Continue to pray and thank you.
