My dad is a Vietnam Vet and got prostate cancer from agent orange. He had radiation therapy years ago and was supposedly cure. Ten years later, the radiation has damaged his bladder. He has hemorrhagic cystitis. He has had three cystoscopy and each time tons of blood clots have been taken out and the bleeding would stop for a short time and restart again. Last resort is to remove his bladder. Please pray for his healing. He also needs the grace to go through all this suffering. Thanks so much. He has been in the hospital for over a month and gets weak and needs blood transfusions. He has developed diabetes and has two blood clots in his legs. They can’t give him a blood thinner because he is bleeding so much from the bladder. They just irrigate it continuously. He is very depressed. Please pray for the nursing staff and doctors to give him the best care possible.
 
Poor man. Know that I’ll be praying for him and for your family.
 
Prayer for the Sick

God our Father, your Son accepted our sufferings to teach us the virtue of patience in human illness. Hear the prayers we offer for our sick brother. May all who suffer pain, illness, or disease realize that they have been chosen to be saints and know that they are joined to Christ in his suffering for the salvation of the world. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Father in heaven, grant nana3’s father comfort in his suffering. Give him courage when afraid, patience when afflicted, hope when dejected, and when alone assure him of the prayerful support of your holy people. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal nana3’s Father). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into nana3’s Father’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer to St. Anthony for Those With Cancer

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for nana3’s Father, who is suffering from cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to him. Comfort him during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering. May God give him the fullness of life here on earth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
