Prayers for my daughter, Shay

Dear Friends, my daughter is scheduled for major
surgery May 22. She is 10 yrs old and has Severe
Spinabifida. She is paralyzed from the waist down.
Her medical problems are too lengthy to list, but
to her life is grand!! Because of her cognitive
impairments, she operates at a 5 yr old level both
emotionally and educationally.

Please pray for her everyday from now thru May 22.
This surgery is spinal and extensive. Recovery will
take the entire Summer.

Thank you all for your prayers. Since coming to
Catholic Answers, I have felt a “family” atmosphere
for each others needs. We are assuredly sisters and
brothers in Christ. It is beautiful ~ ❤️

God our Father, source of all health, be near to those suffer in the time of weakness and pain; relieve them of their burden and heal them, if it be Your will. Give peaceful sleep to those who need rest for soul and body, and be with them in their hours of silence. Bless those who know not what another day will bring. Inspire with Your love those who bring healing and care to the suffering. May they bestow Your gifts of health and strength wherever they go. Grant this prayer, through Christ our Lord. Amen

Lorraine, my heart goes out to you, but your dear daughter is a gift from God. Not only to you, but to all of us. Undoubtedly, she is very loved by Him.

May is the month dedicated to Our Blessed Mother! Why not give Shay to Her? Two Mothers can be better than one, and Our Lady will take extraordinary care of Shay.

You will both be in my prayers, and may God bless you and Shay! Does your daughter say her prayers? If so, ask her to say one for Lormar. I am certain her prayers are very powerful.

I will pray for Shay. I have a son, 21 yrs old in July, born with spina bifida as well. He had 12 hrs of surgery in Aug 2004, age 12, for scoliosis. We have been blessed with magnificent surgeons. I hope Shay will have a successful surgery and recovery. If I can be of any help you can contact me.

Divine Healer and most loving, I pray for little Shay, that you can help her in her surgery, grant her the necessary healing if it is Your will. Infant Jesus please give her family the strength and comfort of your love
