My daughter is a developmentally disabled adult woman. She’s fairly high functioning, and sometimes I wonder how much of a blessing that is. She has enough acute self awareness to understand her inability to fit in with either those of the peer group of her age, or the peer group of her emotional/intellectual level. She is on meds, and sees somebody weekly, but she is currently having a very difficult time, and is profoundly depressed. Please pray for her my brothers and sisters in Christ, that she may understand and feel her worth as both a child of God, and that she realizes how much she is loved by Christ, and by her family and friends. She has been telling others she sometimes doesn’t want to be alive. I’m very concerned. I am going to pray a novena to St. Dymphna, and our Blessed Mother on this matter. Grateful for all prayers.

May God bless all you,

Steven Francis

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Lord, we earnestly ask for your divine hand to touch this daughter, that she might be blessed by many graces, for faith, hope, love, joy, courage, and wisdom along with her family. Lead her always with guiding and guarding angels ever toward the eternal garden of joy. See that every occasion in her life be one where she absorbs your profound love and reflects heavenly light unto others. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

This is a very sad situation. Your daughter IS loved just for who God made her just as is true for everyone else. ( I remember once someone telling me God doesn’t make junk which helped me once. Everything God creates is good as He claims in Genesis when He creates…and it was good! ) My prayer that your daughter can see how loved she really is:)

My love in Christ,
mlz

Dear Lord, you are our refuge in good and in bad times. In your infinite mercy, bring peace and comfort to those of us who face days sometimes filled with pain and depression. Help us to realize that through you there is joy and the promise of lasting peace. Help us through the rough times. Walk before and beside us so that we may walk in your footsteps and reach out to you in our journey on this earth. Help us to focus on our blessings rather than our misfortunes, dear Lord. Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers. Amen

A Prayer for Depression

God bless all who are battling those inner demons of depression, loneliness, unworthiness, and hopelessness. Shine Your warm Heavenly Light down upon all of us, Lord, who are looking for help. Guide us to find peace, happiness, and contentment in our lives and within ourselves.

Mary, Our Lady of Mental Peace, pray for us!
Amen.

prayer to saint dominic
O Holy Priest of God and glorious Patriarch, St. Dominic, thou who wast the friend, the well-beloved son and confidant of the Queen of Heaven, and didst work so many miracles by the power of the Holy Rosary, have regard for my intercessions. On earth you opened your heart to the miseries of your fellow man, and your hands were strong to help them; now in heaven your charity has not grown less nor has your power waned.
Pray for me to the Mother of the Rosary and to her divine Son, for I have great confidence that through your assistance I shall obtain the favor I so much desire: true inner freedom, Grace, understanding & the Joy & Peace of Christ for Steven Francis’ daughter Amen
