Please pray for me as I struggle to overcome my sexual sins. I’ve tried a number of times to overcome it, but I keep on falling into it, especially at night. And please pray for my friend, David, who’s struggling with a lot of depression and anxiety, to the point that he just wants to give up on life. Thanks.

Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. I’ll pray for you and your intention, but here I just wanted to give you a little boost and remind you that you are NOT ALONE! It may help to know that God doesn’t demand perfection; he just demands effort.

A priest once told me in confession that God knows humans are imperfect and I heard a priest say on a podcast once that God doesn’t tire of forgiving us; rather, it’s us who tire of asking for forgiveness. I think he was quoting.

I like to think of St. Dymphna and the whole communion of saints who pray for us as something akin to Bill W and his life’s work.
