Prayers for my doctor's appointment today please

I have a follow up doctor’s appointment today. I have had health issues for over a year, and serious health issues since April. My condition remains undiagnosed. We have been treating symptoms with varying levels of success, but not the root cause, and the medications I’m on are unsafe to be on long term but I haven’t been able to discontinue them without being in significant pain. Most of my issues have been around my stomach- severe gastritis. But I have recently also started having asthma-like symptoms. I have become increasingly depressed and anxious due to the ongoing issues, medical bills (for which I’ve been very blessed that I’m a member of a health sharing ministry which has so far covered all my bills) and being in pain so much of the time.

Please pray for wisdom and discernment for my doctor, that today is the day she’ll have that “Aha!” moment and realize what is wrong with me and we can begin treating it. Please also pray that got will grant me patience and acceptance of His will, because I do not suffer well.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular AKDee, and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Praying for you. Out of curiosity, are you with Samaritan Ministries? I’m wondering because I’m fairly new with them.

I’m so very sorry that you have been ill. 😦

Prayers said for you, that your doctor can find out what is making you ill.

Thank you to all for your prayers. My doctor’s appt didn’t bear a lot of fruit but we have an action plan. I am getting blood tests Friday, another test best left unmentioned, allergy testing at the end of the month, and I got put on the strictest diet of my life today. 3 ingredients. I’m not kidding. I can have lamb, rice, and pears. No spices, no oil, no condiments, nothing else. For 10 days. Which right now doesn’t seem too awful long, but I guess ask me again on day 9 haha.

But- my doctor said at this point she is scraping the bottom of the barrel and if something doesn’t pop this time she will have no choice but to start sending me to specialists. So I ask, if you don’t mind, for continued prayers that this time something will show up that we can actually say is the cause of my illness and start treating it.

I’ve seen 5 doctors so far, one was a specialist (gastroenterologist) but he doesn’t seem to care enough to follow up. My normal doc is saying she’s considering sending me out to the lower 48 (I live in Alaska) to see a specialist down there. Alaska has good docs, but the real gurus don’t come up here because they can make so much money elsewhere.

I need a House MD type doc, I think.

Thank you so much for the continued prayers. I am so discouraged right now.

Do what you can and get, if you are able, the Lourdes Water from the Center in Boston. Apply it to your stomach area (or take a sip each day) and make a novena to Our Lady of Lourdes asking Her to help you.

I’m commending you to Our Lady every day, Dee.

Lormar- thank you so much for your continued prayers. I did order 9 of the little 1oz bottles from the site you gave me. I’m going to drink a bottle every day for 9 days and pray a novena to Our Lady for her help.
