Please pray for my family. My brother in law, Will, committed suicide last night. Prayers for him, my sister in law and family are appreciated. He leaves behind 4 children and a step son.

All powerful and merciful God,
We commend to you, William, your servant.
In your mercy and love,
Blot out the sins he has committed
through human weakness.
In this world he has died:
Let him live with You forever.
Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
 
Oh Dear Lord, have mercy on Your fallen child. If it be Your will, bring him home to You, and give the family peace. St. Dymphna, pray for us. Amen.

I will say a prayer tonight for Will, and his family. So sad to hear about this.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Blessed Saint Joseph,

holy guardian of Jesus and Mary, assist us by your prayers in all necessities of life. Ask of Jesus that special grace which he granted to you, to watch over our home at the pillow of the sick and the dying, so that with Mary and with you, Heaven may find our family unbroken in the sacred Heart of Jesus.

Praying for your intentions. Also, praying that the children would not fall into the same trap, if there is a history of this in your family, that it stops now in Jesus name. One of the problems with suicide is it sends the message that life is not worth living. Anyone contemplating suicide would do well to contemplate that this is the message you would be sending your loved ones. If life is worth living for your loved ones then it is worth living for you.
