My brothers and sisters in Christ, please pray for my Dad, who is ill once again and in the hospital tonight for the last several nights. He doesn’t seem to be progressing with his treatment and does seem to be suffering.

First and foremost I ask that you pray for him to be helped or healed, as however God has planned for him. And secondly to pray for me that I am able to accept whatever that plan is and to act in my father’s best interest always.

Most merciful Jesus, who art the consolation and salvation of all who put their trust in Thee, we humbly beseech Thee, by Thy most bitter Passion, grant the recovery of his health to thy servant, Alfred, provided this be for his soul’s welfare, that with us he may praise and magnify Thy Holy Name. But if it be Thy Holy Will to call him out of this world, strengthen him in his last hour, grant him a peaceful death and life everlasting. Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal LJL5’s Father. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into LJL5’s Fathe’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Thank you all my brothers and sisters in Christ! Your prayers have been so helpful for my Father. Today was a better day and my Dad seems to be coming out of his fog and fever and hopefully will be even better tomorrow. I was moved to make the sign of the cross on his forehead before I left him tonight and prayed to the Holy Spirit to touch him in any and every way that matters for him. I attribute that moment to your prayers for me. You’ve inspired me once again. Thank you so much for your support!

O Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul, I adore You. Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, console me. Tell me what I should do; give me Your orders. I promise to submit myself to all that You desire of me and to accept all that You permit to happen to me. Let me only know Your Will.Amen.

Praying for your father and his health. And praying for you to keep strong and obedient to God’s will.

I am having similar issue with my dad right now so I understand the fear and the helplessness. God bless you and your family.
 
Thank you friends for praying for my Father and for me. It’s been a difficult week or so and today was a downturn that I didn’t expect. My poor Father is so sick and we don’t know why and really at this point I don’t know if I want or need to know why. I am so sad. When my Mom left tonight to go home, I was left alone with Dad. He was praying and making the sign of the cross over and over with his shaking hands and I started to cry. I am sure that the hospital staff are doing their job, but I hate to leave him each night. He is in a strange place and it makes him anxious to think he’s among strangers. I get to thinking about that and I can’t sleep for the worry. I prayed my way through the rosary, the Litany of the Blessed Virgin and most of the Miraculous Medal prayer book. Please pray for Dad. Thank you again.
