Prayers for my fiance

Last night, my fiance Erin and I got some troubling news. She seems to have the beginning stages of type 2 diabetes. More tests still need to be done to be certain, but I wanted to ask people to keep her in their thoughts and pray that the Lord grant her healing and the strength to make the lifestyle changes necessary to combat this. Thank you very much.

Praying hard for Erin. I found out 3-1/2 years ago I had type 2 diabetes and have it completely under control with medication, diet and exercise. It hasn’t affected me negatively in any way. I’m a very active person.

My husband got type 2 diabetes from taking drugs for his kidney transplant. It really sent him around the bend. More so than his kidney disease had! I will pray for both Erin and you, that you both deal with this illness and the Lord bless you both. I wish you many blessed years together, and little fear, but lots of faith!

Lord, look upon Erin with eyes of mercy. May your healing hand rest upon her. Strengthen her to make the lifestyle changes needed to deal with diabetes. Inspire RayGill to help her cope with this illness. May your life-giving powers flow into every cell of her body and into the depths of her soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring her to wholeness and strength for service in your Kingdom. Prayer for Those Suffering From Diabetes

O my Jesus, you accepted Your suffering so that we might have eternal life. Give my hardship meaning and ease my fears as you turn my suffering into a source of joy.

Your servant, St. Josemaría Escrivá, was cured after suffering with diabetes for ten years. He used his many obstacles and physical ailments as a passageway to holiness. Through his experiences you taught him that “sorrow is the touchstone of love.” Overcome my sorrow with Your enduring love and purify my body and soul. I ask this through the intercession of Mary, Our Mother and St. Josemaría Escrivá. Amen.
