please pray for my husband- that he would honor me as his wife and break away from the controlling grip of his mother and family. please pray that he will realize what the commitment of marriage means and that God would show him what is expected of him as a husband.
 
I have been in my mother grip for years. It is hard to beak away. I will pray for you!

I hate to be so negative, but you knew he puts his mother first long before you volunteered to marry him. It doesn’t make much sense to walk into a situation with open eyes and then, after the fact, pray for the situation to change. But you can pray to accept the situation as it is, because Steph, it’s not going to change.

Even though Apollos makes a good point, don’t let it hurt you. You know the power of prayer, and how wonderful and mighty our God is, so keep praying for your husband and pray for yourself too. Seek wisdom and guidance and understanding and in time you will see results. I will pray for you both.

you are making a lot of assumptions here. i won’t bother to address you as you are clearly just stirring up trouble.

Not as big as the assumption that he would change as soon as he married you. All you can do now is pray to accept the fact that his mother is the third person in this marriage.
