Please pray for my husband and our marriage. Our marriage is failing and is at breaking point. I am devastated. He has terrible anger issues and is abusive. We are separated at the moment but I am hoping and praying that he will get help.

Prayer For Troubled Marriage

O St. Rita,
Make us understand that a vocation is not only a matter of attraction.
Enable us to see clearly that it is also a matter of finding, in ordinary events, God’s will for us and then accepting it even if it seems to be baffling and contrary to our wishes.
Teach those called to the marriage state by the Lord to reflect deeply on the delicate choice that will influence their destiny.
Let them not be deceived by their feelings; instead, let them look for the solid qualities that keep a home united in the joy of the Lord.
Teach unhappy spouses the power of patience and mildness. Let them not give way to discouragement but, like you, let them save both the happiness of their home and the soul of their spouse.
O St. Rita, we pray this Prayer for Troubled Marriage through your name and in the name of Jesus Christ, - AMEN

Prayer to Restore a Marriage

Heavenly Father, this marriage is in trouble. Make changes in their hearts. Heal all anger. Make them compatible again, and bring them closer together. Fill them with your love and give them the strength to love one another, care for one another, and fulfill your destiny for them.

Show them the harm caused by careless words, and the pain caused by emotional distance. Bring them together, like they once were. Show them how to love one another again.

Heal the division between them. Make them one again.

Thank you for all your prayers. I ask for more prayers as our situation seems quite hopeless at the moment. I cannot go back for more abuse and I have an 8yo son (from previous marriage) who has been through so much in his short life and is very upset and confused at the moment. My husband seems to be in denial and thinking I should ‘come to my senses’ and just come back. But there was violence and I cannot go back. Please pray my husband can see the seriousness of the situation and get the help he needs.

Praying that your husband may accept suitable help for himself. Also praying for you and your marriage.
