My son is 10. He was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 2 yrs. ago. Though we are all enduring as best as we can, it has been a long and difficult road for us. My son is a very sweet child with a strong faith. He has confessed to me recently that he is having a hard time emotionally with his diabetes. He has said that he feels angry towards God, because he knows that God “allowed” it, and that he is uncomfortable with this feeling.😦

I pray that he may be strengthened in carrying his cross, that he may see the victory that has been promised to us through the Resurrection of Christ.

Though he has been a real soldier, sometimes he just gets tired. Tired of the endless finger pricks, and injections that just never seem to leave him be!! The lows and highs that make him feel like he has no control over his life. The fears of trips to the hospital.

He has a dream to go to Lourdes. So, do I. Please pray that someday, in God’s perfect timing, we, a broke as a joke family of six, may someday encounter a windfall so that we can take my son to Lourdes.

Please pray for me too. Though I try to be a trooper about it too, sometimes it is just soooo hard and it seems I just can’t do this anymore.

Please pray that they may find a cure for this wretched and horrible disease. There are so many children who are hurting because of it.

Father, we know you hear our prayers.
We know you are the only one who really knows
our fate in this world. You already know what our
future holds. We beg of you to touch the mind
of this little boy. Give him peace and understanding
as he carries this cross. Give him and his mother
the strength they need to make it through each
and every day. Send our medical doctors and
scientist the ability to cure diabetes.
We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ!
AMEN

I pray that God will bless your son with healing and your family with peace. What a blessing to have a child with such strong faith. It says so much, not only about him but about his mother as well. You are in my prayers.

Peace.

Praying for both of you, Ana.

Here is a prayer which I hope will be of help to you:

Loving God,
rock of strength for those who trust in You;
comforter of those who call on you.
Hear the cry of those who suffer
from constant sickness or weakness,
and embrace them in your loving arms.
As you have united them to the suffering of Christ
in the waters of baptism,
be their companion on the way of the cross,
give them peace,
and strengthen them with the vision of your kingdom.

We make this prayer through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Saint Rita of Cascia, you who were a suffering wife and a devoted mother, intercede for this family, for the love of Jesus. Amen

Remember that for the Lord, no thing is impossible, so have faith…in your own faith.🙂

Praying to Our Lady of Lourdes for your son, you, and the rest of the family.

Lord, hear our prayers for Ana’s son. He has grown weary of bearing his burden Lord, let him rest at your feet a while. While he rests Lord, fill him with the light of your love and mercy, and let him feel your presence within him. Grant him strength to endure this disease, and warm his little heart with your love. As he struggles to understand your will Lord, grant him peace and understanding that he may no longer be angry, but that he may look to you instead with joyful faith, and loving devotion. Bless this family, Lord in your amazing grace, with strength and courage, hope and faith, as they walk with their son in this tiring journey. Be it your will Lord, pour forth your healing grace and abundant blessings upon this child, that he may travel to Lourdes, where his health and his faith in You may be restored.

Praying for your intentions:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary

You have to try and explain the cross to him. That the reason that God is allowing him to suffer is because he loves him so much that he is allowing him to offer his sufferings up to God, in union with Jesus’s suffering on the cross for the salvation of souls. If he doesnt believe that he allows people to suffer who he loves, just point to a crucifix and explain.

I will pray for you and your little boy.

God bless
In Jesus through Mary

I would be honored to pray for your son, both for his acceptance of his cross and for the lessening of the load.

Ana:

I’m sorry to hear that you, your son and your family are going through a difficult time. I’m praying for you all, and I’m sure that god will bless you and your family one day when you go to Lourdes.

Prayerfully

Praying for your son that he will be healed. He sounds like a wonderful boy. I pray you will be able to take him to Lourdes and also that God will give your family the strength you need. It is so difficult as mothers to see our children sick. I pray for a miracle for your son.
