Prayers for my Mom and Dad and family, please

My 88-year old mother fell on Friday and suffered a hairline fracture in her pelvis and is still in the hospital because they found her blood oxygen to be low when examining her and they haven’t figured out what is causing that yet. Also, she will need therapy/rehab and will not be able to stay with my Dad during that time, so the coming weeks will be difficult for them and all the family. Each of them will have a hard time without the other, but especially my Mom since she also suffers from dementia. Prayers would be most appreciated.

Lord, into your hands, I commit this situation.
You are our Father. You take care of your children.
Clear Mom’s head. Let her be peaceful, with angels
ministering to her. The Dad will feel lost w/o his partner. Grant him peace in his heart. Heal the injuries of her Mom. Prepare her for your calling her home to be w You. Let all, us older people, gently go into the night. Clean, comfortable,peaceful.

A broken hip/pelvis is usually a door to heaven.
Please make her a DNR! You don’t want her to be beaten back to a life of confusion. Chest percussions, bruising sternums. SHOVING ETT’s
Down windpipe. We all should want to go gently.
 
Dear Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the Holy Family, please help, bless, protect and strengthen this family. Please help restore this mother to health as much as possible. Dear God, we know that sometimes Your will is for changes in family life to take place that can be difficult in situations like these. Please give everyone in this family the strength and grace to cope with the changes, help as much as they can, and be there to love and care for each other.

In Jesus’ Name I humbly pray. Amen.

Blessed John Fenwick and Blessed John Gavan, you lived in England when it was a perilous time to be a Catholic. Thus you both were implicated in the frenzy that came after the Popish Plot. Though King Charles knew you to be innocent, he still went forward with the charges, commuting them down to simply a hanging instead of also being drawn and quartered. Like Jesus, you were both convicted of a crime though you were innocent and both of you died for your faith.

Blesseds John Fenwick and Gavan, please pray for those of us still in this exile, that we may show the courage and faith that you did. I also ask you humbly to please pray for the intentions posted on this forum, for my family and friends, for people who have asked for my prayers, and for the faithfully departed. On this your feast day, please intercede mightily with God for us, and beg Him to have mercy on our failings, so that despite our weakness, we may join you both in heaven we pray with you through Christ our Lord, and with the Blessed Mother.
