Prayers for my mom...

My mom had a heart attack last month. She has a very stressful job and if it wasn’t enough, one of her employes has had it against her ever since my mom became her boss.

My mom gets migraines with certain smells, and this woman, knowing that, sprayed one of the smells my mom cannot take in her office door knob, on her computer keyboard and all over her office.

Then she accused my mom of being racist (my mom’s Mexican, the employee is Afican American) but this claim is ridiculous since most of my mom’s employees are of different races and my mom is too. So, after HR was able to prove that woman’s claim to be false, she decided to accuse my mom of harrasment.

My mom is by far the nicest person I’ve known, not just because she’s my mom, but basically everyone who knows her adores her. She had about 30 employees, and all but her like my mom. This woman has been known to be a drama queen… my mom’s been her boss for almost 10 yrs, so I just don’t get why she’d treat my mom this way.

Anywho, now that psycho sued my mom and my mom is under invetigation at work. Her workplace has decided to give her an attorney and back her up if they find this woman is lying again, but ever since my mom’s heart attack, her health has been very delicate and is very emotional.

Her health is going down the drain and her stress is immense. Now she has 4 managers helping her do her job because of the amount of stress she’s under, and now, she’s even thinking about leaving her job because of this woman… I think that is so unfair because my mom has not done anything wrong. :mad: And of course, my mom cannot fire her because that would look like retaliation and it’d go against my mom.

The poor thing has 3 dr appts this wk to help her deal with this, her pain, her stress and her downward health and my dad tells me she’s been crying almost every night ever since the heart attack and now more after the woman is giving her such a hard time at work.

I feel so bad because there is nothing I can do to help my mom… 😦

Your mom definitely has my prayers. I will pray for her health ( mental and physical ) and that this person causing so much harm will retreat and take a step back!

You are alreading helping your mom by listening to her and asking for prayers and praying for her.

I’m so sorry she’s having to go through that…I’ll say a prayer that the problems start to get resolved. :gopray2:

Prayers for your Mom’s situation.

Is there any way the woman could be transferred out of your mom’s department?

Also, could your mom go on a leave of absence due to her health, and receive workers comp or disability insurance? It seems early to be back at work after a heart attack.

If she works in a “right to work” state they should fire that other woman. What’s she going to do? Sue? She already is; better have her gone and suing than at work and suing.
 
I’m so sorry - as if you don’t have enough stress in your life!! I’ll keep your mom and all of you in my prayers.

Well, her heart attack was on a Thurday evening and went back to work the following Tuesday…

I asked her if there is any way to get her transferred but she said no because it’d look like she’s trying to get rid of her and it’d look bad on her regarding the lawsuit.

And where she works, her employees are under a union so my mom can’t just fire her. She has been wanting to ever since the perfume incident in her office but she hasn’t been able to, but this woman has been on probation for it.
 
Prayers for your mom Yessi…she sounds like a very strong woman (now I know where you get it from;)). I hope she can find some way to deal with all of this added stress since people like that horrible woman never really go away:mad:… I pray that the Lord gives her some peace and some way to just let this roll off her back…
 
Aww Yessi… I am so sorry… I only have one word of advice… countersuit! That may get the woman to back down… or if they clear your mom again… then the HR dept should take appropriate action against the woman for harassing your mom on the job…
 
A countersuit… I don’t know if she’s thought about that… sounds like a good thing to bring up to my mom.

Had to goto the doctor myself, so I was sad to seethis. Praying, and I hope things get better for your mom.

I forgot to say, she is a very strong woman. She has been through so much. She raised her 3 kids w/o any child support, no help from my &%^@# biological father who I call the sperm donor 😃 , and got us to the US (legally) and was able to give us the life she wanted us to have, not that misery of life we had when we were with the sperm donor. She did it all on her own for 14 yrs. She was 19 when she got married and when all the emotional abuse from the man started… the neighbor fed us and helped us when we needed the most help and where was that man? Cheating on my mom w/his many mistresses and the one who became his 2nd wife while married to my mom…

Sorry… enough of that rant… she is strong, and I am very proud to have her be my mom!

Hi Yessi,

I think BlestOne mentioned a counter suit.

There is something called “torturous interference with contract”. That is basically what this loon is doing to your mom. Maybe she can mention that to her attorney.
