Prayers for my mother who developed Brain Metastases

Hi friends!

I have posted a few prayer intentions before regarding my mom’s health. In January of this year, she was diagnosed with Brain Metastases that started from Breast Cancer. My mom had Surgery (craniotomy) to remove the 3.5 cm tumor and received Whole Brain Radiation Therapy to kill the remaining cancer cells and the smaller tumours in her brain.

It has been almost 3 months since her radiation therapy and tomorrow is the follow up appointment with the Neuro Oncologist regarding her Brain Scan - 3 months after the treatment.

Please pray for her total recovery! We are hoping and fervently praying that she will be cured. My mom is only 53 😦 and I still need my mom in my life. We tried so hard as a family to take good care of her and we are happy to see her get better day by day, her walking is a little unsteady sometimes and she gets small occasional headaches. We also tried alternative methods for her such as juicing carrots everyday and switching her diet to plant-based.

I am worried and anxious. I love my mom dearly and we are not losing hope in Jesus the Great Healer. Please help us send lots of prayers to heaven for my mother, Marrieta.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Marrieta. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Marrieta’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer to St. Anthony for Those With Cancer

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for Marrieta who is suffering from cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to him. Comfort him during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering. May God give him the fullness of life here on earth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Thank you everyone! The oncologist reported that her brain is swollen due to the radiation therapy which is expected. Please help us pray that things will be ok with no complications and go back to normal, that the swelling will go away and not cause any serious complications, and eventually that the cancer cells are killed.

Hi everyone!

We are now at 5 months after my mom’s whole brain radiation and 6 months from her brain surgery. Please help us continue pray for her recovery. Emotionally and psychologically - she is coping very well, she is a very resilient and positive person. She just finished her steroid therapy last week to prevent brain swelling brought by the brain trauma from radiation and surgery. Please help us continue pray that the swelling will no longer come back. Too much cerebral swelling is too dangerous. While the side effects of the steroids are too difficult (and my mom wanted to be off of it so bad), it was the better option to prevent complications and now that she’s just finished it we are hoping that her body just simply copes and heals naturally. We are meeting her oncologist this Friday for a follow up appointment after her recent scan. I am very anxious but praying very hard for positive news. Please include her in your prayers, her name is **Marrieta. ** Through the intercession of Mother Mary and Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, may Jesus grant her complete healing and recovery from this illness. I still need my mom in my life.
