Please pray for my niece who tried to commit suicide two days ago and is in a mental hospital at the moment. She told me the night that she tried that she does not believe that God really exists. Her spiritual life is a major part of her problem. Please pray that Jesus will reveal Himself to her in some way that she will know that He is there and that He loves her.

She will be the focus of my rosary tonight.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

I will remember her in my prayers today.

Prayer to St. Dymphna, patron saint of those with depression
Lord, our God, you graciously chose St. Dymphna as patroness of those afflicted with depression. She is thus an inspiration and a symbol of charity to the thousands who ask her intercession.
Please grant, Lord, through the prayers of this pure youthful martyr, relief and consolation to all suffering such trials, and especially those for whom we pray.
We beg you, Lord, to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna on our behalf. Grant all those for whom we pray patience in their sufferings and resignation to your divine will. Please fill them with hope, and grant them the relief and cure they so much desire.
We ask this through Christ our Lord who suffered agony in the garden. Amen.

A Novena Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Dear Lord please heal this neice. She is suffering from mental illness and lack of faith. Please open her mind to You and soften her heart that she will be healed by You.Lord in Your mercy hear our prayers Amen

Sacred Heart of Jesus, we know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are in suffering or distress. Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.

PRAYER OF PENITENTS
“Most High, Glorious God, enlighten the darkness of my mind, give me right faith, a firm hope and perfect charity, so that I may always and in all things act according to Your Holy Will. Amen.” (Saint Francis’s prayer before the San Damiano Crucifix)

Let nothing trouble you
Let nothing make you afraid
All things pass away
God never changes
Patience obtains everything
God alone is enough

May There Be Peace Within
May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be…
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you…
May you be content knowing you are a child of God…
Let this presence settle into our bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of you…

Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for our sinners now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Prayers lifted up for the poor young lady, and all her family to coup with this trying time.

Her spiritual life is a major part of her problem. Please pray that Jesus will reveal Himself to her in some way that she will know that He is there and that He loves her.
I should have also added that she has five children to age 12 that really need to be included in prayers also. They need to know and feel the love of a Merciful Loving Jesus and Father.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Short Responsory

God is my helper and I will put my trust in him.
– God is my helper and I will put my trust in him.
He is my refuge and my liberator.
– God is my helper and I will put my trust in him.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
– God is my helper and I will put my trust in him.

Dear Lord please heal this neice from her attempted suicide. Please grant she gets the long term help she needs to recover mentally and emotionally to care for her children. Please surround her children with Your love.Comfort them and grant them strength to cope.Amen

A Prayer for the Family

Jesus, our most loving redeemer,
You came to enlighten the world
with your teaching and example.
You willed to spend the greater part of Your life
in humble obedience to Mary and Joseph
in the poor home of Nazareth.
In this way, You sanctified that family,
which was to be an example for all Christian families.

Graciously accept our family,
which we dedicate and consecrate to You this day.
Be pleased to protect, guard, and keep it
in holy fear, in peace,
and in the harmony of Christian charity.
By conforming ourselves to the Divine model
of Your family,
may we attain to eternal happiness.

I would like to thank you for all your prayers. She has been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and really need all the prayers she can get. Please continue to pray that Jesus will let her know that he is there and will help her. She has a very tough road ahead and needs Jesus for support.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Praying for your niece to feel the Lord’s presence and for her children …

Praying with Bible verses from today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Mid-morning reading (Terce) 1 Peter 1:13-14 ©
Free your minds, then, of encumbrances; control them, and put your trust in nothing but the grace that will be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. Do not behave in the way that you liked to before you learnt the truth, but make a habit of obedience.

Noon reading (Sext) 1 Peter 1:15-16 ©
Be holy in all you do, since it is the Holy One who has called you, and scripture says: Be holy, for I am holy.

Afternoon reading (None) James 4:7-8,10 ©
Give in to God: resist the devil, and he will run away from you. The nearer you go to God, the nearer he will come to you. Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will lift you up.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Father, in Jesus’ name, please inspire others to give appropriate help to this overworked and stressed mother who may have had a stress breakdown.
Father, please quite seriously inspire others to wisdom and practical assistance.
And please give the children (and their father) stability and love, and heal them of the emotional injuries they may have suffered due to their mother’s mental and emotional exhaustion, and her recent action.
Mother Mary please pray for her and her family.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
