I want to ask you for prayers for my primary care doctor, who basically made statements to undermine my trust in people in the Church. When I mentioned that people were helping me out, and he asked who, and I told him people from my Church and identified myself as Catholic, he asked me “And you don’t think they are trying to take advantage of you?” I was shocked at the time, and wondered if he didn’t have a clear idea of who I was talking about, but now that I look back, I think there is definitely an anti-Catholic sentiment in his attitude and behavior towards the Church and Her members. I think the organization he works out of provides abortions and other anti-life procedures or at least provides referrals to them. But I want to ask for prayers for the revelation of what the story is here, and setting the record straight, and determining whether to find a new doctor and where, and if so how. But I seem to have a streak of anti-Catholic doctors and other physical and mental health “professionals”. And it almost seem that whenever I find a Catholic doctor or professional, some logistical, financial, or insurance barrier prevents me from utilizing their services. And most of the people giving me referrals are definitely not interested in sending me to Catholic doctors or specialists, if they even exist anymore. Not that they necessarily have to be Catholic specifically, but I seem to get placed with or referred to people who will actively attack and try to undermine crucial teachings of the Church, thinking that there is something wrong with me if I do not reject what they regard as a personal opinion when I am holding to a teaching of the magisterium. But please pray for my doctor and all doctors. I am very frustrated with the sneakiness of some people who I am paying to care for my health. It seems people are just trying to get my money while they just get in the way of me living and professing my faith in Christ.
