A Prayer for Catechumens

Father of love and power,
it is your will to establish everything in Christ
and to draw us into his all-embracing love.
Guide these chosen ones:
strengthen them in their vocation,
build them into the kingdom of your Son,
and seal them with the Spirit of your promise.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Welcome lilcavic79! Tomorrow at Mass, I will certainly remember to pray for your RCIA group. Next week, on Sunday, my child’s group will take part in a Rite of Welcome. Also in the group will be children taking part in a Rite of Entry. Will you (and maybe your group) pray for them, too? huge hug May God Bless You All

St. Robert Bellarmine, patron saint of Catechumens, join us in our prayers and intercede, we beseech thee, upon lilcavic79’s RCIA group.

Amen.

ps: That’s such a wondeful rite! Let us know how it went and please share your reactions with us.

You and your RCIA group will be in my daily prayers as you approach your big day. I hope your “Rite of Entry” was wonderful!

Praying for all the catechumens in your RCIA group …

Hail Mary
Full of grace
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary
Mother of God
pray for us sinner now
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Thankyou, yes I will pray for your child’s group for their Rite of Welcome and also for the ones taking part in the Rite of Entry. May God Bless each of them on their special day.

My day went very well and we are now Catechumens !!!

We were all very excited and it is so hard to explain how nice the day was. We each were called by name and went up to the altar with our sponsor. We had some questions to answer and then we each got all our senses blessed by the priest. After that everyone cheered and applauded us. We then had some prayers and went back to our seats. Myself and another girl in my RCIA class got to take the Offertory up with our sponsors.

I was so overwhelmed by the whole day that when I got home I cried. I was just so happy. I even went to mass on the Monday for Saint Andrews day where the whole of my daughters school were attending due to the school and church being called Saint Andrews and we are living in Scotland so he is out Patron Saint. Even then I ws still had my head in the clouds.:angel1:

I am looking forward now to Easter, to receive the Eucharist for the first time and also receive my Confirmation name. I am nervous about First Reconciliation though.

We have our Rite of Election on 21st February 2010 which will be held at the Cathedral in Edinburgh.

Could you continue to pray for my RCIA group and Rcia groups all over the world the would be much appreciated.:gopray2:

Thankyou and God Bless :thankyou::blessyou:

Welcome, welcome. What a beautiful day. Thank you for sharing this joyful occasion, for praying for (and with) us… and yes, we too cried tears of joy!
I even went to mass on the Monday for Saint Andrews day…
Saint Andrew~ for me, a beloved Patron Saint. Also went to mass on Saint Andrew’s feast. Guess in a way, I was there with you & the children too, but on the other side of the world!

You know what? Even after all these years, I sometimes get nervous before Reconciliation & can share this. Afterward, it’s like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders… almost like a heavy heart was replaced with one that’s shining~ light & weightless.
