Prayers for My Son

Please please pray for my son, Spencer. He has had a problem with drugs over the years. I just knew yesterday in my heart that he has started using a very dangerous drug again. Today he is in bed sweating, ill, etc. I feel sure that he is trying to get off of it again.

Please pray for his health and strength and for God’s protection and that he be open to outside help such as Narcotics Anonymous or something like that.

Please pray that he will be open with me as I plan to speak with him later in a loving way and let him know I’m here for him and encourage him to get help.

He will be 20 years old on Tuesday and he is the light of my life. He is sweet and kind hearted and everything I could want in a son. He unfortunately made the poor decision to use drugs when he was younger and is now having trouble getting out of this mess of addiction.

Last night I asked our priest to pray for him and I thank you for all of your prayers too. I know he will recover. My family just needs strength, mercy and prayers in this trying time. I am sure all you parents out there can understand how heartbreaking this is.

and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Lord, I lift up to you Spencer. Please release him from addiction. Heal him Lord and make this young man whole again. Grant this family peace and may your love surround them in this trying time. This I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Lord, please hear our prayers for Tyler. Grant him strength and courage to overcome this addiction Lord. May he walk this journey with you at his side Lord, that he may be free from fear, and filled with faith in your undying love for him.
God, bless Tyler’s Mother, Amie. Comfort her, as she weeps for her child. Hold this family in your loving embrace Lord, that in the warmth of your love they may find all that they need to triumph over this addiction.
