Prayers for my son

My son left for Afghanistan yesterday. He is serving in the USMC. He asked me to ask as may people as I could to pray for him… he said, “Thanks mom, I know you will get as many people as you can to pray and I really appreciate that about you.”
 
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
 
Praying for your son tonight. May God be with you and him while he is overseas.

When you talk to your son please tell him we are thankful for those men and women who serve with him in the USMC.I will be praying for him.Semper Fi,Rocky.
 
Father, we commend him, and all who serve with him, to You.
Father we ask Your loving protection of soul, mind, heart, and body, of this loved son and of all who are serving in the hope of protecting and rebuilding of other nations.

We ask Your protection also for innocent civilians, and we ask of Your mercy the conversion and repentance of all who intend and of those who inflict, harm.

Father in Your merciful love, please resolve everything according to Your desire that all live in love of God above all and others as self, in all nations, and especially in those torn by conflict and divided by any unloving understanding of Your will.

Praying hard for your son and all of the military. I can relate, my youngest son spent 10 months fighting in Afghanistan.

My prayers are with a fellow mother as my son has had 3 deployments. My prayers go out for your son and for you and for all of the soldiers who risk their lives for ours.

PRAYER FOR THE SAFETY OF SOLDIERS
Almighty and eternal God, those who take refuge in you will be glad and forever will shout for joy. Protect these soldiers as they discharge their duties. Protect them with the shield of your strength and keep them safe from all evil and harm. May the power of your love enable them to return home in safety, that with all who love them, they may ever praise you for your loving care. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
 
Thank you all very much! I received my first phone call from him 2 days ago. I am praying that he stays somewhere that has phone lines so I can hear his voice every week!

Father all-powerful and ever-loving God,
from before we were born,
your love has nurtured and sustained us.
Hear my prayer for ‘HolyInnocent’ for her son
Keep him safe in time of battle
and faithful to you, day in and day out.
Bring him safely home to those who love him
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

A PRAYER,
FOR THOSE IN THE MILITARY.

Almighty God
We stand before you in supplication,
Asking Your Divine mercy and protection,
To envelop with Your invincible armor,
Our loved ones in all branches of the service.

Give them courage and strength
Against all enemies,
Both spiritual and physical,
And hasten their safe journey,
Back to their homes and families.
Please protect this mothers son from harm

continuing to pray for your son and his fellow marines and all those serving in the armed forces. Praying that your son may be able to call often to reassure you of his safety and that the Lord be at his side and keep him safe.
