Hey everybody,

I would just like to ask for prayers to discern my vocation. For about five years now I’ve been trying to discern if I am being called to marriage or to religious life. At points I’ve been almost certain that I was called to be a sister, and I’ve begun looking at various religious orders, then other times I feel like I am meant to get married and be a mother. Right now I don’t have any specific feeling either way. I’ve been praying about it, and I would just ask that you will all pray for me as well.

Thanks.

I too am having vocation discernment trouble. Religious Life or not. I will pray for you.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary

You got it. One rosary coming up.

God bless,

Father, you call all
who believe in you to grow
perfect in love by following
in the footsteps of Christ your Son.
May those whom you have chosen to
serve you as religious provide by
their way of life a convincing sign of
your kingdom for the Church
and the whole world.
AMEN

I’m praying for you and for all those discerning their vocation.

“O Great St. Joseph, so docile to the guidance of the Holy Ghost, obtain for me the grace to know what state of life Divine Providence destines for me. Do not allow me to be deceived with regard to so important a choice, upon which depends my happiness in this world, and even my eternal salvation. Obtain for me that, being enlightened to know the Divine Will and being faithful in accomplishing it, I may embrace that state of life which God has destined for me and which will lead me to a happy eternity. Amen.” ~From the prayerbook, Favorite Prayers to St. Joseph:gopray2:

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

Let us cry out to Christ, who hears the prayers of those who hope in him:
  • Lord, we praise you; in you we hope.
Lord, you are rich in compassion:
we thank you for the enormous love you have shown us.
United with the Father you govern and conserve the world:
renew all things by the power of the Holy Spirit.
    Open our eyes today:
    make us perceive your wonders.
Today you are calling us to serve you:
may your grace shine through all that we do for our brethren.
Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those that trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

O God, you have made us guardians and cultivators of the earth, you have sent the sun to shine on us and help us.
Grant that today we may work for your glory
and for the good of our neighbour.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.
