Hi Prayer Warriors!
My good friend Kaths husband is battling terminal cancer and has just received bad news about the growth of a new tumor. He is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday next week and would desperately love to be able to spend Christmas with his family.
Here is a brief version of their story as told by Kath, written before they received this news:
Nick got diagnosed 5 years ago, 10 days before our 2nd baby was born. Josh our first son was 16 months old. During this 5 years Nick has undergone 20 hours surgery to his head, 5 weeks radiation and a year chemotherapy. The past 6 months the tumour has grown. We started chemo again, but unfortunately Nicks body did not handle it, so therefore we are unable to have anymore treatment. I admire Nick tremendously, he is so positive, never gives up and lives everyday for our two beautiful boys Josh 6, and Paddy 5 and me. As a family we have not wanted any symapthy or to be wrapped in cotton wool, we want to get on with life and play the cards we have been given. With Nicks tumours it is very hard sometimes as he gets very tired and his speech is affected tremendously. But together with our families and friends and faith we get through these times.
Please pray for them, they are Catholic, have great faith and are the bravest family I know.
Thanks and God Bless you all
