In August - I said a novena between the 1st to the 15th for the Assumption…

From August 15th to Sept 30 - I observed the Lent of Saint Michael - which is an old Franciscan Lent leading up to the Feast of Saint Michael - it’s what I call an “Autumn Lent”… not really a major, or even an official Catholic lent, but still devotional…

But now - what about October and into early November? We’ve got All Saints Day and All Souls Day coming up, but is there a novena or something?

I want to keep the prayers rolling through October, but not sure what to contemplate…

There’s a lot of Saints in this month, but… hmmmm…

Any ideas?

You can gain a plenary indulgence each day in the first week of November for a soul in purgatory by visiting a cemetery (and all the other requirements for a plenary indulgence)

"_Visit to a Cemetery _
_(Coemeterii visitatio) _

An indulgence, applicable only to the Souls in Purgatory, is granted to the faithful, who devoutly visit a cemetery and pray, even if only mentally, for the departed. The indulgence is partial on any day except from the 1st to the 8th of November; [on those days it is plenary]."

Fr. Heilman’s prayer group is going to start a St Jude Novena on Oct 20, ending on his feast day Oct 28.

You can really do any novena you like any time. You don’t need to pick a particular saints day to say their novena.

Pope Francis has asked Catholics to pray the Rosary everyday in October for the defense of the Church. Not really a novena or connected to a holy day, but that would get you through October with prayers!
