Prayers for our daughter, Theresa

Our oldest daughter’s life is quickly spiraling downward; leaving her husband and moving out of country to be with another man. She was so raised Catholic having attended Catholic school and homeschooled. We are so brokenhearted. We know she is hurting too but mixed up now.
 
May Our Lord, the Good Shepherd, seek out and bring back into His flock His stray sheep, Theresa. May His love and mercy be as a beacon guiding her home.
And may His peace be upon you as you wait for Him to answer these prayers.

Your daughter is in my prayers.

May God console you and your husband in this sorrow.
Dear Lord please give strength and consolation to these grieving parents and to their daughter’s husband.
Please give wisdom and abundant grace to their daughter, and restore and deepen her marriage with her husband.
Please ensure they have the help and trust they need to create a happy and loving marriage.
Please have mercy on their temporal and spiritual welfare.
 
Joanneh, I’m so sorry to hear of this turmoil in your family. I have lifted your daughter up in prayer. May God have mercy on her. May the Holy Spirit lead her to an awakening. May she turn away from this sinful behavior and repent and reenter communion with our Lord Jesus Christ. May your family be strengthened in this time of crisis and may her husband also be rescued from the pain of loss of his wife. May God restore peace and bring healing to your family. Thank you all, I would never have believed this would happen in our family. Yes, I appreciate your prayers for my husband and I too, we feel such a loss.

tbcrawford, it is so interesting that you mentioned the Memorare as that has been constant prayer for her. It so expresses where I am at. Also the divine mercy chaplet has been a part of my routine for her. My little wooden rosary is under my pillow and many times I wake at night and feel so comforted to have it there and the Chaplet is such sweet medicine. I do appreciate too how some of you have been praying for my husband and I as we await His answers. I am just beginning to read some of the CL literature and our other daughter has been such a blessing in helping me to look at this a bit differently than how I would traditionally think of it. Again so many thanks for the prayer warriors here and knowing that prayers from many parts of this world have lifted her up. God bless you all.

Dear Joanneh I am so sorry for you and your husband going through all this worry.I have a son going through a very difficult time also and with children involved.You are good parents and never forget that.We shall keep praying with you for your daughter.I have been praying hard for guidance for my son.God has been so good and been guiding my son to open his heart and mind and make good positive choices.I pray the same for your daughter.
I love the memorare and use it often as we know Our Blessed Lady’s prayers are heard above all others.

Dear Joann I understand your heartache and have the very same pain as yourself.Your wonderful love shines through your words.You are indeed a truly loving mother.We can pray and place our trust in the Lord to soften their hearts and open their minds to His will.I trust that one day whenever that may be Theresa and my son will recognise and reconsider their lives.They will be drawn one day back to Our Lord.Thankyou for remembering my son in your prayers.

Teresa dear, I have begun to think of her as sick, morally and or spiritually sick. She isn’t thinking rationally. Our son in law knows he made mistakes too and I want to keep him and his daughter close too. Our daughter was married in the church as our son in law’s first wife had died after they divorced. My heart aches for them all. What is your son’s name so I can name him specifically in my prayers. Daily Mass has become my life line. God bless. Joann

Dear Joann I am so sorry for your pain.I can feel it through your words.I go from worry to anger to anguish and worry again quite regularly.I feel sorry for him and then get cross about some of his actions but at the same time knwoing he is in pain.It seems as parents we cannot stop worrying.My son is called Thomas.Thankyou for remembering him in your prayers.God is good and is guiding and helping my son to make positive good choices in life and keeping him safe!I don’t know how I would cope if I did not have faith in God’s love.I continue to pray for you,your daughter and son in law.
