God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Lormar and her husband). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Lormar and her husband’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Can someone tell me what is wrong with me and what I am doing wrong? I go to Mass and confession and … nothing. No consolation. No peace. Try as I do, nothing changes. I feel as if I am dead inside. It’s disturbing to me.

Have you been able to talk to a deacon or your parish priest at all? Caregiving such as you have been doing is like a little death. They might have ideas on how to deal with this desolation of spirit. Continuing prayers for you…

No, I have not. I didn’t even think of doing that. The priest I normally would talk to is being transferred to the nether regions of the parish and is super busy. There is another possibility, but he is in charge of the seminary and it is a busy time of the year there too.
