As you lived in the secular world, married with seven children and were tempted to fine clothes and idle gossip, you know the struggles many of us face in our society today, where we have comforts kings in past times could only dream of. Please help us to keep our eyes on heaven, that we may not be so distracted with things of this passing world, but strive to do God’s will for our lives, and thus attain a crown which will never perish.
