speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Lormar and her husband’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

I believe esieffe has took care of her father for years, you could PM her to make sure and get some support. Or you could post this in the family forum for more people have have been through what you have been through. I’m continuing to pray for you, Lormar. I know this has been very difficult for you and I pray that Christ helps you feel His presence, sharing the yoke with you. I know there have been many occasions in my life where I would snort and think, ‘Jesus isn’t helping me with this. I am carrying this cross alone. What good is His sharing my pain if I cannot even feel Him nearby?’ That is why I am praying that you may receive actual grace and thus at least have some peace while you and your husband are suffering. Dear St. Aloysius Gonzaga, you are the patron saint of youth because you died so young and in such a state of holiness. You are best known for your virtues of purity and repentance. Please intercede for all adolescents today who are growing up in a culture that discourages those very virtues. You were fortunate to have two Saints as your spiritual directors: St. Charles Borromeo and St. Robert Bellarmine. Pray that our young people may find role models in the Church that they can look up to and strive to emulate, just as their mentors strive to emulate Jesus.
Because of your kindness and compassion St. Aloysius, I also ask you to intercede on the behalf of all those who have posted intentions today, and for people who have asked for my prayers. Pray that we may all be as zealous for God’s glory and as charitable to our neighbor as you were, even to the point of risking our lives for them. Pray that we may all see you in the Kingdom to come and be able to thank you face to face. Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Lormar and her husband). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Lormar and her husband’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer To St. Josemaria Escriva

St. Josemaria Escriva, we humbly implore you for your prayers and intercession. As the founder of Opus Dei, you saw the beauty and sanctity to be gained in living our daily lives for God. Help us as we struggle through our crosses today- the little irritations that grate, the people who annoy, the situation that didn’t go our way, the exhaustion at the end of the day. You were able to see God’s will in every aspect of your life. Help us as we fight our concupiscence, our cowardice, our tendency to take the path of least resistance, as we attempt to follow Jesus on the way of the cross. I ask you especially to pray for all who have asked for prayers on the forum today, for my loved ones, and for all those for whom I am obligated to pray. Keep us within your heart on this your feast day, and pray for us to the Father in union with Christ our Lord. Amen.
