Prayers for parents struggling marriage

Hi catholic answers community.

I’ve posted many times my concerns about difficult family stuff and this forum has been enormously supportive and helpful. thank you for your grace and prayers.

My parents have struggled for a long time with my dad’s poor and self destructive financial decisions/ depression. He might have early dementia or perhaps brain damage from playing football ( it cannot be dignosed in the living, only on autopsy). We are pursuing medical care to try and get a diagnosis.

My mom has suffered long with this and is very faithful but she is exhausted from caregiver fatigue. My dad’s faith is also strong but they have struggled with counseling and haven’t found it helpful.

My brother in law is a good human but is a bit anti-catholic due to some past relationships with people he did not enjoy. He wants to help my family, but is trying to do so by offering to let my father live with him 4 hours away from my mom.

There are many potential financial benefits to this situation ( my dad can’t drive and earns very little, so most of his income goes to using rideshare to get to work). However we worry my dad’s faith with suffer.

my husband and I are also worried that this extra stress on a fragile marriage will only worsen things.

send prayers. and if you have any suggestions on dealing with possible dementia on limited income and medicare, I would greatly appreciate the help. I feel like if we could find a caregiver to help relieve my mom that would be great.

Heavenly Father,
Please shine Your light upon this family. Help
them overcome their current difficulties and
those they may encounter in the future.

O Lord, please bring them together as You
intended them to be. May their love grow as

PRAYER IN A TIME OF TRIBULATION

O Lord, hear my cry pouring out from a troubled heart. The sorrow which clutches at my soul has driven me to You my protector, my True Friend in time of need. You know, my God, all my failings, my faults and my sins as well as the torment gripping my soul. My greatest sorrow should be for my disregard of Your holy commandments in the past, and I sincerely hope that you will grant me the grace of true contrition. O my Savior, hide not Your Face from me in this tribulation, let the light of Your Countenance shine upon me that I may be illuminated by Its love. If it be Your will, lighten this burden from me, yet should it be a means of my salvation, help me, help me O Lord, to carry this cross, for alone I can do nothing. Radiate Your love upon Your prodigal child O Lord, this beggar who knocks at Your door seeking shelter in Your Sacred Heart; this once proud earthen vessel made of clay seeks You, O Christ, and in a newly found faith, firmly believes that you will receive him in Your limitless Love and Mercy. I pray that God helps you make the right decisions for your parents and that you can find assistance for your mom to get a break soon.
