I am struggling with a lot of negative “what if” scenarios in my mind as I wait to visit monasteries in the summer to figure out if Religious Life is my vocation. I haven’t even dipped my feet in things yet, but already I am playing out possibilities of things that could go wrong by me joining. I know it is pointless to be worrying about things that are in the future, let alone about possible negative things in the future. I try to get out of my head. I pray. I go to church daily. I need your prayers for anyone out there that sees this. Thank you and God Bless.

O God, have mercy on this Your servant and grant him peace and patience as he discerns Your Will. Amen. 🙂

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom in your time of need.

Our Lady of Vocations, pray for us. St. Pope John Paul II, pray for us. All patrons of vocations, pray for us! Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon Lin in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

Thank you brothers and sisters for keeping me in your prayers. Thank you for being here for me.

I’m truly sorry for everything you’re going through. I understand very well the kind of thing you describe, as I frequently do it myself. I think something very important to remember is not to fight evil with evil. Don’t try to do away with negativity and anxiety by focusing on them, trying to “will them away”. Sometimes even trying to solve them is really just reinforcing them. It’s better to fight evil with good. Focus on something else; replace your fears with something good. Have hope; look forward to the good, see good possibilities rather than bad ones. And, when bad does happen, see it as temporary and not really as bad as you thought it would be. The good is the only thing truly worth focusing on; bad things are merely stepping stones to the good. I pray for the alleviation of all your anxieties and doubts, that God may grant you strength, hope and guidance, and I ask for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, your guardian angel, and St. Dymphna. God bless. 🙂

Steer the ship of my life, good Lord, to Your quiet harbour, where I can be safe from the storms of sin and conflict. Show me the course I should take. Renew in me the gift of discernment, so that I can always see the right direction in which I should go. And give me the courage to choose the right course, even when the sea is rough and the waves are high, knowing that through enduring hardship and danger in Your name we shall find comfort and peace.
