Hi,
I used to have a friend who always encouraged me to be patient. Not until now did I really start thinking about my impatience, and need to be patient. Please pray that God helps me, my friends and family, and all people throughout the world to practice loving patience in all our struggles and hardships and waiting for God’s gifts.

What a wonderful prayer intention. I might imagine we could all work on being more patient, myself at least. Praying for us all to practice loving patience through good and bad times, in accordance with the will of Christ.

Patience is a virtue of the Lord: He awaits the return of His children. Forgive my trespasses Oh Lord Jesus, For many times have I tested You. I deserved the wrath of Your hand, But You saw greater things for me: Your patience has been enormous! Grant me a droplet of such endurance, That I may abolish my impious impatience, Refraining from using unpleasant words, And always reflecting Your serenity. Great is the Lord Jesus in His ways!

“patience and perseverance is the bishop to his excellency” -my Dad.🙂

My Dad used to always say this quote. I began thinking it was about my catholic faith, but as I began analyzing this after my Dad’s death, I finally realize it’s about playing chess.😛

Teach me, my Lord, to be sweet and gentle in all the events of my life,

on whom I relied. Let me forget myself so that I may enjoy
the happiness of others. Let me always hide my little pains
and heartaches so that I may be the only one to suffer from them.

that it may make me patient, not irritable; that it may make me broad
