Loving God,

We lift up our prayers today for a young man in his early 20s who is suffering from a cancer in his mouth, and it has also spread to his lymph nodes. We ask for your blessings and mercy for Sean, and for the care of excellent doctors for this young man. Please grant Sean and his family trust in your divine providence and courage for the times that are ahead. Please heal Sean in accordance with your holy and perfect will.

We lift our prayers in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

Amen.
 
So young and so ill in such a sad way.
I’ll be keeping Sean and his family in my prayers.

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

and at the hour of our death.
 
I pray for Sean’s recovery and well-being, that he receives excellent care, and that God may comfort and help him, also that God may comfort and give strength and hope to Sean’s family.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Sean. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Sean’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer to St. Anthony for Those With Cancer

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for Sean, who is suffering from cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to him. Comfort him during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering. May God give him the fullness of life here on earth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
