As a resident in the Austin area, I can tell you we are experiencing a lot of flooding. I know a lot of Texas and Oklahoma are as well. Luckily, there have been so many donations that they are asking us to hold off on any further donations until they can get organized. But we are in the middle of even more rain now. I know the Tennis Coach at my daughter’s former high school who just retired and paid off her home lost her home and the equipment she was going to use to start a new business.

Prayers for those that have died, are still missing and their families.

Prayer for Protection against Storms and Floods

Graciously hear us, O Lord, when we call upon You,
and grant unto our supplications a calm atmosphere,
that we, who are justly afflicted for our sins,
may, by Your protecting mercy, experience pardon.
Through Christ our Lord.

Thanks to All!! We’re drying out and they told us to stop giving at the moment because the have so much. Our local store HEB donated food and toiletries. Samaritan’s Purse and some local govt entities are helping with the Clean-up. I’ll have to check and see what our parish is doing. But it looks like the help is rolling in.
