YEARNING4TRUTH

Guest
Hi everyone, I’d like to ask for prayers, not only for my dad, stepdad, and uncle, but for everyone who struggle with addiction. Please pray for them.

Prayers said for your dad, stepdad, and uncle and all who struggle with addiction for strength to overcome their addiction. May God take away their desire to engage in their addiction.
Mary.

Prayers said for the addicted and their family members.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal YEARNING4TRUTH’sdad, stepdad, and uncle. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into YEARNING4TRUTH’sdad, stepdad, and uncle’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer for the Addicted

God of mercy, we bless you in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who ministers to all who come to Him. Give your strength to YEARNING4TRUTH’s dad, stepdad, and uncle, who are bound by the chains of addiction. Enfold them in your love and restore them to freedom through your grace.

Lord, look with compassion on all those who have lost their health and have broken relationships because of their attachment to the objects of their addictions. Restore to them the assurance of your unfailing mercy, and strengthen them in the work of recovery. To those who care for them, grant patient understanding and a love that perseverance.

Lord, in your servant, Venerable Matt Talbot of Dublin, you have given us a wonderful example of triumph over addiction, of devotion to duty, and of lifelong reverence of the Holy Sacrament. May his life of prayer and penance give YEARNING4TRUTH’s relatives courage to take up their crosses and follow in the footsteps of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Father, we ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Praying for all those suffering from any form of addiction & their families.

Freedom from Addictions

Lord, one we love is bound by addictions and now is not truly alive, for addictions end freedom. You died, Lord, so that we could be free to choose our destiny. Please, Lord, help one we love make the choice to break free of addiction and, in freedom, walk back to us and to you. Amen.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, bless all families and make them holy.

For your family and all those who suffer…

O blessed Lord, you ministered to all who came to you: Look
with compassion upon all who through addiction have lost
their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of
your unfailing mercy; remove from them the fears that beset
them; strengthen them in the work of their recovery; and to
those who care for them, give patient understanding and
persevering love. Amen.

They, all struggling as such, and you, all have my prayers.

Dear God, You created us for fellowship with You.
We are designed to walk with You and delight
in Your ways. But every day, we choose not to do
that. We choose to go our own way. We put up a
sign on our heart: Keep Out. You could just let us
wander off. You could see that sign and turn away.
But You don’t. You seek after each one of us, and
You sent Your Son, Jesus, among us to call us back.
Back to a full, open and loving relationship with You.
Back home. Help us respond to that call. Help us
turn away from ourselves and toward You. We are
awestruck at this amazing gift You offer-life with
You, forever. It is hard to comprehend such a gift.
All we can do is touch it at the edges. But where
knowledge fails, faith and love succeed. Give us
faith in Your Saving Power. And thank You for the
Love that rescues us. In the name of Your Son, our
Redeemer, Jesus Christ.
Amen

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we
forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us
not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom,
and the Power,
and the Glory,
now and forever.
Amen.
