Prayers for the broken heart

Please keep me in your prayers, as I am broken hearted, and depressed. I always saw “forever” with my ex boyfriend, and knew he needed space to figure that out based on his painful past (previous broken engagement). It turns out that despite the love he has for me, he says he doesn’t see forever with me, that he tried to get there but can’t and won’t see it. This is the man I see raising children with, the man I want to make happy for the rest of my life. Letting him go is the hardest thing I’ve had to do. I would love for God to intervene, and for a chance to reconcile, but recognize that may not happen. I pray for another chance with this wonderful man, or at least for some ease to my suffering. Please keep me, and anyone in this situation, in your prayers. Thank you and God Bless.

Been there. But when I was thirty and looking into Religious Life; I met my wife.
God has a plan and it hurts to be open to it.

I am so sorry you are going through this. You are not alone, many others have. As a person of faith you must cling to the fact that God loves you, seriously, more than anyone ever could and he cares for you. Trust Him and He will direct your path.

Lord please be with this person with a broken heart and mend and heal it as well as bring comfort and guidance. Amen.

Thank you all for the prayers and genuine kindness. In my sadness, I smile knowing that God and many others are rooting for me.
