I’m so heartbroken. I just received a call from my husband and our dear Father Mark Tasler died last night in a car accident. He helped my husband and I mend our marriage and brought us into the Catholic Church just only 3 years ago. Please pray for him and our parish at St. Josephs.

I’m so sorry for your loss and that of your fellow parishoners, May he rest in peace.

We will certainly pray for him.
Please read 957-958 and 1030-1032 in your catechism book or locate online in the Vatican archives. This may help.
Death is not an affliction. God chose this man to come to him for none of us can forestall what is God’s will.
I know you and your family loved him and he will be missed, however, rejoice that he is with God. How lucky he was to have such caring friends in Christ.

He was principal at my school in Neb. City before he was stationed at York. He was the speaker at RCIA for a few of the meetings when my husband was going through classes to join the Church. He was a good man, and will be missed. 😦 May he rest in peace.

Thank you. He will indeed be missed.

The funeral is on Sat (don’t know the time yet) in Lincoln. Then on Sunday will be my daughter’s First Holy Communion. The practice is on Sat morning. Sunday will be emotional for many.

Congratulations to your daughter on her first communion!

The rosary is Friday at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ at 7 PM. The funeral is at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ at 11 AM on Saturday.
