Prayers for the heartbroken due to fraud

Upon reading an article from Popular Science Magazine, I learned that a website’s number of scamming profiles alleging to be Catholic was a staggering 82%. This is a direct insult to God, our faith, and a blatant targeting of Catholics seeking love. I am praying today for the intervention of God and Saint Valentine to help us, as victims of fraud, and those who are targets. May we find aid in this terrible problem.

Thank you for this important intention.

I am aware of a case where a group of individuals posing as a Traditional Catholic group were actually a money scam and conned a young man out of his savings.

Such individuals bring dishonour to the Faith and we should pray for their conversion, as well as for all who have been victimized in this way. 😦

Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. As a target of fraud, I can relate…praying for ways to bring it to an end!

I am so disappointed that they portrayed us! That poor boy who lost his savings, true evil. Crusaderbear: they actually scammed you? It is so very wrong, I don’t even know where to begin except for prayer. Did they pretend to be Catholic?
 
Praying for the victims and their families and that the perpetrators be brought to justice and repent.

In my case it was strictly secular - pretended to be a subscription service renewal, noticed a 500 dollar charge on my credit card. In the UK. The CC company quickly corrected things.

Rereading the original post, I suspect the fraud here was much more of a personal nature. Any fraud hurts.

Thomas Jefferson would agree that it is a hate crime and sometimes, an international hate crime. As, the separation of Church and State was from a letter from a Church asking for protection from harm. I will pray once more for the United States’ Guardian Angel to also intervene.
