Lord Jesus, you were moved by the prayers and tears of St. Monica
and you gave the grace of conversion to St. Augustine your son.
Touch our hearts and convert us from fear to love,
from sickness to health and from conflict to peace of mind.
Bless all mothers, living or dead, known or unknown,
married, single or widowed.
May our lives draw others to love you.
Lord, it was at your altar that Saint Monica wanted to be remembered.
May we also have the heart of St. Monica to persevere with faith in all our trials.
Amen.

look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,

By Your compassion, O Lord, we beseech you, loosen the bonds of our sins, and by the intercession of the ever blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, together with blessed Joseph, and your holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and all the Saints, preserve us, your servants and our abodes in all holiness. Cleanse from the stains of sin our relatives, kinsfolk, and acquaintances. Grant to us peace and health. Remove from us all our enemies, visible and invisible. Repel carnal desires, grant us healthful seasons, bestow your love on our friends and enemies. Protect our Pontiff, Francis, defend all prelates, princes, and the entire Christian people from all adversity.
