My wife and I have been married for a little over 3 years now. We’ve had trouble with conceiving children. We do not practice contraception. 2 years ago around X-mas my wife had a miscarriage. It was a very rough and trying time. By God’s grace we have conceived once again. We are scheduled for our first ultrasound tomorrow. I ask for prayers for my wife and little one. I know it is early and things can still happen. Please pray that whatever happens, we can come to accept it.

Also, will the Church ever definitively put forth a teaching on children who die before they are born (miscarriages). I believe, as all Catholics should, that life begins at conception. Therefore, I have one child already which I believe is in heaven. He/she never had a chance for baptism by ordinary means. I couldn’t fathom a God though that wouldn’t welcome our child into his loving arms. I pray that one day I will be reunited with this child that I’ve never had a chance to hold. Somedays are better than others but that longing in my heart is still there. There are days when I beg God just to let me see him/her in my dreams to know they are ok and with him. I know deep down that I must trust God, but as we all can probably say, it is a lot easier said than done. I ask God to help me trust him more.

Peace in Christ,

I know you’re child is in Heaven also. You will be in my prayers that all will go well with your ultrasound. My wife had a miscarriage with our first pregnancy but through the grace of God gave birth to our daughter almost 1 year later. She will be 7 in March. Again I will say some special prayers for you and you wife.

God Bless,
Gary:)

I am praying for you and your family.

I am also sure that your first child had the baptism of desire and is in heaven with Jesus.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary

Thank you for that touching intention! I will pray for you also

Remember O most Gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known; that anyone who fled to your protection, sought your intersession, or implored your help was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, we fly unto you or Virgin of virgins, our mother. To you do we come, before you we stand, sinful and sorrowful! O mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer them. Amen.
