Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Thanks to all who prayed for the recent election, and thanks be to God, we have since heard good and wholesome encouragement form President Obama, Hillary Clinton, President-elect Trump and House Speaker Ryan to work now for the healing of the country and the moving forward together for the good of all.

God permits that which He can work unto good. We need to pray with believing hearts and minds in the Truth of His Word:
God works all things unto good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Rom. 8:28

Amen. Folks on social media are starting a novena for our country and the presidend elect. It starts on 11/28 and ends on Inauguration day.

Dear Autumn Smoke and all the many persons who have offered prayers and will continue to offer prayers,

Thanks so very much! Let us continue to pray for both our Church leaders and civil leaders, for they have tremendous influence over those whom they lead. We need to discern prayerfully in our own vocations also. Each one will be held accountable before God for how we have used the gifts He has given us.

By God’s Grace, may we remain in His Word, prayerfully listening for the Truth The Holy Spirit was sent to bring us. By His Grace, may we do the Truth we hear, lovingly.

Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us.
Mary Refuge of Sinners and Queen of All Saints, intercede for us.
 
Praying. . . . Prayer of Apology and Thanksgiving because of forgetfulness to say “thank You” to Our Lord for all the blessings He pours on us and we do not even realize it. The thread could also be closed before we know it and I want to get the “thank You” in. 😉 🙂

I agree that prayers should continue. I don’t understand a previous comment above where someone said “This thread could be closed before we know it.” Let’s keep praying, and supporting each other, as well as the country, in prayer!

Dear Phoenix, pollylodges, and kmartin,

Thank you all for your prayers. Phoenix, I’m not sure why the thread might be shut down unless of course someone wanted to debate or make inappropriate comments, on it. Just the title of the thread might ignite anger – it is sad that we have Americans (and others) who are still angry with what God has permitted. Prayer is, as St. Padre Pio wrote: “our best weapon”, as we continue to fight our battles against evil in our world.
