Prayers for the people near me who are losing their parish

I’ve alluded to a proposed parish merger for a while, well a date has been set, January 2019 for one of the churches to close and the parishes to merge.

I ask for some prayers for the older and more vulnerable Catholics who are losing their place of worship and may not be able to make the transition. Prayers also for those whose faith is hanging by a thread and the loss of their local church could be what causes them to give up.

I also ask people to pray for the logistics, my church only has a small car park and is on a street of terraced housing without off road parking for the residents. It will be a challenge to absorb more people who need to park.
