We are sick, although it’s just the common cold/flu, it’s very trying. Anyways, as I sit here sick, I remember those who are also sick and have difficult times managing their sickness.

Hail Mary full of grace
The Lord is with you
Blessed are you among women
And Blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus
Holy Mary, mother ofGod
Pray for u sinners, now & at the hour of our death. Amen

I sincerely hope that you may be healed of your illness, without further pain or complication, comforted and consoled as you suffer it. I also pray that you may receive the treatment you need, and that you may find the strength, courage and hope in the grace of Christ to suffer your affliction, offering it up to Christ for the salvation of the world. I extend this prayer to all those who are sick in the world and for all their caretakers and loved ones. God bless. 🙂

Under thy compassion we take refuge, Theotokos; do not disregard our prayers in the midst of tribulation, but deliver us from danger, O Only Pure, Only Blessed One.

Praying for the health & recovery of all who are experiencing illness of any sort.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Dear Lord, I’m sick, grumpy, and confused. I know our Holy Church teaches the corporal works of mercy on visiting the sick. Yet, when I am sick I do not want visitors … Am I denying them their corporal works, or is this normal??? Anyways bless the sick and those who are working on corporal works of mercy. Amen

Prayer to St. Luke:

Most charming and saintly Physician, you were animated by the heavenly Spirit of love. In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, you also showed His divinity and His genuine compassion for all human beings. Inspire our physicians with your professionalism and with the divine compassion for their patients. Enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many in our day.

Amen.

Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy. Thank you for the wisdom and grace to endure being vomited on (face, hair, shoulders) as I carry little V up the stairs. It was totally gruesom and if it were not for the grace of love I would have crawled out of my skin and went screaming down the street in utter horror! Thank you for a husband who is fanatic about cleaning and able to Take care of us when we are covered head to toe in vomit scared and weary. As I lay wake, exhausted, and yearning for sleep I remember he many who are also suffering from vomit … From a distant relative who is hospitalized due to a stomach virus, and his mother who has breast cancer and all those who are vomiting due to cancer medicine’s, to those who vomit due to too much alcohal and narcottics, to those who do not have clean water and vomit, to those with eatting disorders … I ponder, was God a pucker? Did he vomit a lot as a child, and man. He did say that “Luke warm christains were his vomit”. … And there probably are many Luke warm christains (probably including me sometimes … So sorry God) so, can I imply that Jesus vomited a lot!!! I guess it doesn’t matter except to maybe give me peace because our children are phenomenal vomiters, and it still grosses me out major. However, God has blessed us with graces and we pray that these episodes remain short and help build our childrens immune e systems so that they may grow up to serve our God. Amen

Litany of St. Joseph

Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.
Jesus, hear us. Jesus graciously hear us.

God, the Father of Heaven,
God, the Son, Redeemer of the world, God, the Holy Spirit, Holy Trinity, One God, have mercy on us.

Holy Mary, pray for us

St. Joseph, Renowned offspring of David, Light of Patriarchs, Spouse of the Mother of God, Chaste guardian of the Virgin, Foster father of the Son of God, Diligent protector of Christ, Head of the Holy Family, Joseph most just, Joseph most chaste, Joseph most prudent, Joseph most strong, Joseph most obedient, Joseph most faithful, Mirror of patience, Lover of poverty, Model of artisans, Glory of home life, Guardian of virgins, Pillar of families, Solace of the wretched, Hope of the sick, Patron of the dying, Terror of demons, Protector of Holy Church — pray for us!

Lamb of God, who take away the sins of the world, Lamb of God, who take away the sins of the world, Lamb of God, who take away the sins of the world.

He made him the lord of his household. And prince over all his possessions.

Lord, have mercy
Lord, have mercy.
Jesus, graciously hear us.

Let us pray, — O God, in your ineffable providence you were pleased to choose Blessed Joseph to be the spouse of your most holy Mother; grant, we beg you, that we may be worthy to have him for our intercessor in heaven whom on earth we venerate as our Protector: You who live and reign forever and ever.

Saint Joseph, pray for us.

Oh God how glorious, patient, loving, and organized you must be! As I scroll through the pages of prayers CAF has posted since this morning (7 pages) I ponder how you deal with so many requests and relations with each of us. I can barely manage the request fe my two children and the clean up of last nights vomit on almost no sleep. The more sick hey are the more nurturing they need and the more clean up needs to be done before the healthy child plays (maybe eats) the mess. Lathe when it’s under control one child needs to play and the other nurtured and it’s too much for this Mama … Can’t I just goto the the beach and hunt frozen drinks? Will I ever get a vacation again? Will I ever see my husband able to stop going too fast and smell the roses, maybe play and nurture more? Where is the balance of turning my prayers to you God and being too whiny? I will pray:

O beautiful Flower of Carmel, most fruitful Vine,
Splendor of Heaven, holy and singular, who
brought forth the Son of God, still ever remaining
a Pure Virgin, assist me in this necessity.

O Star of the Sea, help and protect me!
Show me that thou art my Mother.

O Mary, Conceived without sin,
Pray for us who have recourse to thee!

Mother and Ornament of Carmel, Pray for us!
Virgin, Flower of Carmel, Pray for us!
Patroness of all who wear the Scapular, Pray for us!
Hope of all who die wearing the Scapular, Pray for us!
St. Joseph, Friend of the Sacred Heart, Pray for us!
St. Joseph, Chaste Spouse of Mary, Pray for us!
St. Joseph, Our Patron, Pray for us!
O sweet Heart of Mary, be my Salvation!

Amen.

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.

O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying that we are born again to eternal life. Amen

St. Gerard, who, like the Savior, loved children so tenderly and by your prayers freed many from disease and even death, listen to us who are pleading for our sick child. We thank God for the great gift of our son (daughter) and ask him to restore our child to health if such be his holy will. This favor, we beg of you through your love for all children and mothers. Amen.
