It seems as if our resident Moderator has fell quite ill. By “quite ill” I mean ill enough that he went to the ER and has been wiped out for the next bit.

I humbly submit that we keep him in our prayers, and use this as both a prayer thread and a get well soon thread.

We’re praying for you Thomas! There’s a couple of Breviary sessions which will be said for you over the next day or three!
 
O glorious martyrs Cosmas and Damian, who won everlasting glory in Christ’s name through your healing of the sick and steadfast witness of the faith, intercede for Thomas at the throne of the Father, that God may grant his loyal servant surcease of suffering.

Thomas, you will be in my prayers and with all those praying for you there is a speedy recovery in your future.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)

Almighty and Eternal God, You are the everlasting health of those who believe in You. Hear us for Your sick servant , Thomas, for whom we implore the aid of Your tender mercy, that being restored to bodily health, he may give thanks to You in Your Church. Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Dear Lord be his protector and defender in this time of trouble. Surround him with the Holy Angels, so that he may emerge from every danger in the fullness of health and well being. Guide his life journey, so he will always walk safely together with you, in God’s protection and friendship.
Amen.

Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight, and give your angels charge over those who sleep.

Tend your sick ones, O Lord Christ.
Rest your weary ones.
Bless your dying ones.
Soothe your suffering ones.
Pity your afflicted ones.
Shield your joyous ones.
And for all your love’s sake. Amen.

I will be praying for his health and peace of mind throughout the day and through the week.
