Prayers for those suffering from ear or hearing problems

I’m praying for anyone experiencing anything related to the ears such as infections, deafness, pain, tinnitus etc.
I suffer from tinnitus and am trying to resolve it or try to live with it.

Feel free to post if you have ear problems too and I’ll pray for you.

Lord Jesus, our brother,
You showed Your love for the sick
by Your concern for them.
Help us to see You and serve You in the sick.

Bless + those men and women
who are dedicated to helping and healing the sick.
Guide them in their labours,
and give them a greater share in Your love.
Reward their service
by the peace and joy of Your Holy Spirit,
and by the everlasting happiness of Heaven.

Lord Jesus,
we praise You,
for You are our Lord for ever and ever.

Lord, please grant some form of merciful refreshment to all those suffering from auditory afflictions. Heal their every ill, whether physical or spiritual, with the touch of your divine, healing hand. Instill in them always many graces for faith, hope, love, joy, patience, courage, and fortitude. Lead them through every suffering or joy in life, in union with your holy Passion, always toward the etttttternal fountain of relief. Send angels to help with this cause. Have mercy, Lord, and grant them all a foretaste of the sweet warmth of heaven’s light. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

I had tinnitus for many years, along with a major hearing loss since the age of 5. Got my first hearing aids in my 40’s and finally heard birds singing in the trees! Made me cry for at least 15 minutes! I now have profound hearing loss, but between the hearing aids and reading lips, I manage. Sit in the front during Mass so I can hear what the Priest says. Confession is very difficult for me, even face-to-face, as my Priest speaks English with a heavy accent. I understand the difficulty with tinnitus! What I did was use a ceiling fan, or run the air fan instead of a/c or heat occasionally. The sound of the fan “masks” the tinnitus quite a bit. That at least gave me some relief at home!

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to their assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.

and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Thank you so much for these tips! I also have severe tinnitus, hearing loss, vertigo to the point of digestive problems, and my hearing loss is getting worse. Even with hearing aids I have a lot if trouble understanding sometimes. The constant ringing not only makes it harder to hear but also is nerve wracking. I am definitely going to try the fan. Thank you so much for the prayers. Many people, including doctors, don’t take problems dealing with the ears seriously.

Praying for all who experience hearing problems.
 
I have tinnitus and hearing loss in my left ear, from a cold I had some 3 years ago.

It took me 6 months to get accustomed to the constant buzzing, and now it’s just background noise.

Thank you for all your prayers.

A bad sinus infection left me with pulsatile tinnitus and then it turned to constant buzzing.

Today I feel a lot better and have not had a headache.
I’ve been praying to St Teresa of Avila because she had tinnitus.
 
Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Praying that the Lord may strengthen and heal you and all others suffering from tinnitus and other ear problems.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

I got tinnitus (that I finally realized wasn’t some sort of background noise!) since the age of five, when I had both ear drums punctured! Did finally learn to live with it, for the most part! Don’t notice it as much with my new adjustable hearing aids, but when I take them out, I often have to go check and see if the a/c or heat is running, as when the aids are out, I hear a “fan running” sound all the time! That’s why actually running a fan does help, since I can ignore the tinnitus, since the sound of the fan makes me ignore the tinnitus, since I “know” it’s just the fan. Makes it so much better!
