Ascension Prayer

Lord Jesus, in this Easter season we celebrate today Your Ascension to God´s Right hand as the goal of Your resurrection from the dead.
We thank You that You have not left us orphans, because You remain with us to the end of time.
May we always be glad when we think of the many ways You are with us to the end of time.
May we always be glad when we think of the many ways You are with us : in the Eucharist, in Your Word, in one another, in Your ministers.
May we respond to Your Presence by keeping Your commandments, above all, to love one another as You have loved us.
Amen.
 
Blessed Mother, please intercede for us.
Hold the sorrowful, strengthen the fearful,
mother and love the weary, abused, neglected
or forgotten among us,
give your aid to all needing help or healing,
assist those who are sick, in pain or suffering,
be with those needing peace,
console the lonely or brokenhearted,
comfort the lost or hopeless,
guard the unborn,
pray for those who are dying or who have died,
soften those with hardened hearts,
enlighten those who do not yet see truth,
help us be brave enough to let our hurt and anger go,
show us the way to do the right thing,
protect those who are in danger,
and guide us from every evil.
May all who keep your sacred commemoration
experience the might of your assistance.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Father, hear our prayers for the salvation of the world. Grant Mercy to all souls that turned away from you. Open their hearts and minds with Your light.

Gather your children from the east and the west, from the north and the south. Have mercy O God on those who do not know You. Bring them out of darkness into your light. You are our saving God who
leads us in our salvation. Protect us from evil.

Bless and praise You O Lord, hear our prayers and answer us. You, our Savior, are the hope of all the ends of the Earth and the distant seas. May Your way be known upon Earth; among all nations Your
salvation.

We put the world in Your hands; fill us with Your love. Grant us peace through Christ, our Lord.

O Lord, Jesus Christ, hear my prayers for our Holy Father, our Bishop, our clergy, and for all who are in authority over us. Bless the whole Catholic Church, and turn all hearts toward your most merciful Heart. Bless my relatives, benefactors, friends and enemies. Help the poor, the sick, and those who are in their last agony. Have compassion on the souls in purgatory; grant them eternal rest and peace.
