Hey guys, would love some prayers for two friends. One is in a cycle of pure laziness; playing computer games all day and sleeping, can’t hold a job because he’s unmotivated, and continuously fails university subjects. I too am affected by Sloth at times, and know how hard it can be to break it.

The other is a girl I once dated, she is deeply depressed, feels she has no self-worth, gets used by guys all the time because that’s the only way she feels she’ll be loved and it hurts me to see her so hurt.

Prayers for these two are appreciated!

OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

O God, send forth your Holy Spirit into my heart
that I may perceive,
into my mind that I may remember,
and into my soul that I may meditate.
Inspire me to speak with piety,

May Your grace ever help and correct me,
and may I be strengthened now
with wisdom from on high,

FOR EMOTIONAL HEALING
St. Anthony, dear friend and heavenly guide,
be present to me now,
and let me know your compassion.
Pray to our dear Lord for me,
that I may experience calmness and peace in my emotions.

Help me to grow in faith and hope.
Protect me from all that displeases God,
and obtain for me serenity of mind and spirit.

I place all my confidence in you, St. Anthony,
and I pray for mercy,
grace and God’s gently goodness.

Amen.
 
Jesus, our Divine Light,
please have mercy and send your grace to these two individuals and also for the person who requested prayers. Be with them. Help them to see the potential you gave to them. Bless the and send your saints and angels to encourage them. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit… Amen.
 
Merciful Father, give us this day the bread we need, and above all else the Bread of Life, Your Son. We love You and adore You. Amen.
